Back after a few years absense..... Anyway to the question.

I have been reading forums for days now a have decided to go to TD as a good guy right after starter isle. Monk is my chosen class, as I absolutely loved it before and hopefully will relive some of the best MMO time I can remember. I figured the way to get there, but my question is...I cannot remember what lvl you get to choose the specializations into Brawler then monk? Which leads to my dilema, If I am questing and lvling in TD which from what i can tell is evil starter city, will I be able to choose the "good" paths at the trainer or whatever he is named when i reach each appropriate level?

Or do I have to return to Qeynos to do that?

Sorry if this explained elsewhere, I did try to find it.

Oh yeah, and does TD have good loot for a Monk class to begin with or am I wasting my time heading there?

Man your real old school.

One doesnt go through the whole brawler then monk/bruiser thing. If you started in qeynos you start out as a monk, and vice versa for the bruiser. Now a days you can betray to the other city and keep a specific aligned class. You can be a monk in freeport now.

Also to answer your question about td, yes its an awsome zone for gear, there is even a legendary cloak which rocks from a place in mok rent.

Hope you have returning

Monk is not a neutral class. Warlock/Wizard/Guard/Zerk/Fury/Warden/ not sure which scouts are neutral - I'll assume Bards.

You could get good enough faction to walk around freeport and use merchants - but if you complete the entire betrayal you will be a Bruiser. So you would have Call of Exile or whatever vs Freeport Call. Go to Eq2wiki and read betrayal lines

On PvP servers you can be a Freeport monk or a Qeynos bruiser.
