Trouble Reinstalling eq2

<p>I have been trying to reinstall EQ2 for 10 hours now.  I downloaded the installer and started patching. Every 10 - 20 min the patcher will stop downloading and I will have to restart it then it works for another 10 - 20 min. It never hangs up on the same file.</p><p>All virus protection is Off</p><p>OP system is Windows XP</p><p>I power cycled my Modem to reset the ports.</p><p>Any other ideas on what I could do to fix this problem would be appreciated.</p>

<p>you can clear the cache folder in the EQ2 directory.</p><p>if you have other progrms having an issue, maybe resetting your tcpip stacks can work.</p><p>go to start>run and type "cmd"</p><p>in the Dos Window type netsh int ip reset log.txt <enter></p><p>on the next line type, netsh winsock reset <enter></p><p>reboot your PC and try again.</p><p>(freaking double spacing carriage returns /shakes fist)</p><p>(your face is a double carriage return)</p><p>/ragequit</p>

<p>I noticed you mention turning off yo ur virus protection, but may I ask what virus protection program you're using?</p><p>If you haven't already, then bypassing your router would be an easy fix to try.  That will let us eliminate the router as a possible cause.</p>
