Ok, was on my low lvl zerker today and saw a lvl 55 inquisiter take out a same lvl zerker. How can a healer class outdo us?

Duels mean nothing in determining a class's power.

And you provided very little detail otherwise. Was the Zerker better geared? Worse geared? Did the Inquisitor have full masters, and the Zerker apprentice 1s?

Besides Inquisitors are machines as far as priest DPS goes.

Easily. Healers can still dish out DPS, and their heals can offset most of the damage they receive. A 'quizzie wears plate so they're almost as tough as a 'zerker, their heals let them offset the damage that does get through their armor, and they dish out spell damage that a 'zerker tends to be bad at avoiding along with their melee damage. I'd expect the fight to drag on a bit, but as long as the 'quizzie doesn't go OOP I'd expect them to win.

The fight did last a long time , and i did notice that the Zerker ran out of power. The inqiuisitor never seamed to use any of his power. But even though we don't have heals I thought we would be one of the toughest classes out there. I guess i just never thought a healer could stand up to the punishment we dish out.

Think about the difference between your 'zerker trying to solo a white triple-up vs. duoing that same triple-up with a healer. If a 'quizzie can keep a 'zerker healed against a mob, he can do just as good a job healing himself against a 'zerker. As for the power, the 'quizzie is using reactive heals so he can conserve power. He's also got Harrowing Inquest which can drain his opponent's power and give it to him, keeping him from running out of power, and he's got debuffs that're aimed straight at melee types (reduced strength, reduced offensive skills) and buffs that damage and/or stun an attacker without the 'quizzie having to expend power doing it.

Like anything else in the game, you have to spec for it to do well. For dueling, the WIS line is invaluable. I'm a mastercrafted/adept 1 geared berserker and I was trashed by a fabled/mythical/mastered Assassin. When I went WIS spec (for non-pvp reasons), it also allowed me to complete destroy that same assassin very easily, even without destruction/openwounds up.

Against the Inquisitor, high resistes help some, and a way to bypass his plate armor's high AC helps even more. Other than that, it's just luck.

I've seen a legendary/mastercrafted warden defeating the fully raidfabled MT guardian of a hardcore avatar raiding guild (think it was before launch of epic weapons).

Inquisitors are one of the best dueling classes. If they are Battle Cleric AA spec'd, have decent gear and a good two-hander weapon they are tough to beat. You have to remember that Inquisitors have a power tap ability in addition to heals. Also, with Fanaticism they can dish out some decent dps - not a good as a zerk but still decent (2nd only to a fury as far as healers go). So, an Inquisitor doesn't have to worry about power as much as a zerk does. Also, the Inquis can shake off a stun/stifle every 2 minutes with a non-interruptable spell. With the Steadfast cleric AA its pretty hard to interrupt them anyhow (unless you use a knockback). When it comes to toe-to-toe melee the Inquisitor is the best of the priest classes. So don't underestimate them.
