I use the two stealth AOE combat arts during the concealment chain when fighting a multiple mob encounter. I sometimes use the stealth AOE attacks when fighting a single mob encounter as im trying the increase my fatal follow-up damage. I've noticed that the stealth AOE's take longer to cast than do the non-AOE stealth attacks. So... my question for all of you uber assassins is whether I am hindering my dps using the stealth AOE attacks on a single encounter or if I would be better off using the non-AOE stealth attacks and pass on the stealth AOE attacks prior to fatal follow-up.

Thank you for your time

1. I am by no means uber.

2. You will do more damage if you use your AoEs in the chain prior to Fatal Followup. However, I have found particulary in some groups there has not been time to get FF off if I do this. So, in these situations, I suggest watching the health of the mob, and determine whether you have time for the AoE attacks in the chain. If not, I don't use them and make sure you get to use your Fatal Followup chance, as it can do a good amount of damage. If you're killing a solid named with ^^^, and his health is not burning that fast, what's it going to hurt to cast the extra few seconds before hitting the FF.

Just my 2 cents, but I hope it proves helpful.

It is possible to use all stealth CAs with concealment (but it doesnt always happen that way)

For the start of the combo I use...

Concealment, Velium Strike, Jugular Slice, Execute, Mortal Blade, Pinpoint Blade, Moonblade, Stealth Assault, Slate, then FF...

If you don't get interrupted in between you can hit all of them...Sometimes I end up skipping Slate cos it is the longest cast...

(( I spoke 1 on 1 with Aeralik in person last year, the two AEs take the longest to cast, but they are the most beneficial to your Fatal Followup multiplier damage.

Ie. they are worth the wait, if you are aiming for a massive FF spike.

In PVE aa spec, I have getaway which is awesome for re-stealthing after mobs keep breaking it while you try to perform stealth arts such as AEs against them.

as long as you spam your cheap shot (and ogre racial stun which stacks!) right before, you should have enough time to nearly complete a half chain on them. (depending on their difficulty you might even complete a full chain)

stun + stun poison + stun proc + racial stun = win

oh and +stifle proc, +stifle CA, +root ca = win too

oh and self heals procs and reactive heals too = win [Removed for Content]... lifespike is so OP its awesome

As the other assassins have stated it very possible to get all your CAs into your combo and if your smart enough and have exacting running when you start your combo you can get pinpoint blade into it twice. I always go concealment|masked strike|pinpoint|assualt|slate|moonblade|jugular|mo rtal and execute followed by masked strike and pinpoint blade again if exacting is running or I bummed Jesters cap off a troub followed by fatal follow up.

You can hit pinpoint twice to no avail. End your FF earlier for more dmg rather than wasting your time doing that =P
