Greencow wrote:

Its nice to see that SoE care if the the Voice chat works or not....

Just because there is no response does not mean they are not reading it.

Is the OP and others still having this problem? Has it always existed or did it start after a particular GU? What OS are you on? Wireless? Router model?

There is more to this than a simple "It doesn't work so you must fix it". The voice chat itself is an excellent component of SOE's game; but it is reliant upon things outside of SOE's control, including your ISP and connection stability. So, in order to track down where the error lies, it is always helpful to provide more information other than "It is broken."

Just some friendly advice... /shrug

Good to know they are reading.....

.....But reading without any sort of response is as good as being non-existent. Oh well, I bet its a Sony feature, ala Working as Intended!

I agree with the above...I understand that they might be working on it, but 2 months without even an acknowledgement of the issue is a bit much methinks.

What can they do if nobody posts info but just complains. They do need data to resolve an issue.

Well what info is there to post...

It works on my GF's computer, not on my two, 4 different installs =) Same connection, I run XP she Vista and she use profit.

Channellist is empty, player list is empty. Sound like a SoE end UI bug. I run no UI mods other than eq2maps and a persona window.

Really not any other data to post.....

The manual /voice join seldom works, I have to rely on the chat link that pops up in the chat window (if enabled).

also the VC window itself always show, you are speaking in guild no matterwhat channel I'm in and don't show who speaks.

The forums are helpful but they are really there for advice. Not for the serious treatment of an issue. Please write a petition in game (/petition) or call us. You can reach us Monday through Friday from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm PST, except holidays, at 1-858-537-0898. We fixed this stuff before and we'll fix it for you. We have much more thorough and secure methods of gathering information. I look forward to hearing from you.
