I'm thinking of investing in this achievement line, but I don't have a deity.

Do I have to choose one to get a pet?

Can someone explain this a bit for me?

Yes, you have to choose a deity and do the quests line for it to get the deity pet.

But hornestly, that AA is one of the worst AAs in the general tree. Only worse are the crafter AA if you don't craft or the harvest AA if you don't harvest.

I agree with Besual as that is about one of the worst choices for AA's

I would choose health, power, run speed, or mount speed. (I went for power/health personally)

I would beg to differ I think Power for defiler is the worst one to choose

I would however think if you like runspeeds then 5 in mount is well worth it

Depends on what you do for the power thing. A larger power pool means more power for your group if you get a channel, more margin for error in VS, harder to run out of power overall, more power regain when you hit cannabalize etc.

I wouldn't say having more power is worthless at all. It most definitely isn't the most worthless choice.. I would agree that the diety pet aa wins that spot.

The purpose of choosing power/health are for good reasons. I eat up power like candy on raids, and I like having a large pool of power since it works well for Cannibalize since it's 10% of your power pool... the larger the pool the more power you will gain. I'm also a tinkerer so again the higher power pool helps more with that as well.

Health is for eating more damage and more conversion on Soul Ward.

Run speed is also a nice benefit as well... It all depends on what your doing, and what works best for your playstyle. Mana/health was mine
