A Letter from Schmetterlink to the Fae of Greater Faydark of Antonia Bayle:

May the blessings of Tunare be upon you, my brothers and sisters!

Let us be mindful of the Gentle-ness of Her ways, and encourage each other to promote the physical well-being and positive growth of the Spirit of Goodness that resides in each and every one of us as well as All the Creatures great and small, both the living and the dead, that rest with us in and upon Norrath. For Kindness is our calling as both Fae and Denizens of the World, and we are mindful of our duty to nurture the best in all we encounter.

It is with concern for your very spirit that I send this missive to you, my brothers and sisters. Let us remind each other that though Death and Decay are but part of the Cycle of Life, it is our obligation as the Children of Tunare neither to seek Death out nor inflict It upon others. Though those who are evil and opposed to the Wholesome Life may seek to deprive us of the Breath of Being, it is inherently wrong to seek to bestow the same loss even upon your enemies, for no good comes to the Spirits of the Deprivers of Life.

Now there are many within our own domains who would seek you to do otherwise, to slay your enemies, even in the name of Tunare Herself, at Everlasting Peril to your Spirit-Being. Though their intent may be lofty and good, the means of Execution that they promote are False and Injurious to your very well-being, and not in accord with the Goodness of your Nature.

Be brave, then, and cast aside your swords and battle-axes, your detrimental spells and poisons, your bows and arrows, your wands and staffs by which you might harm others. Enjoin yourself and refuse to engage in arms or brawls, nor aid those who actively seek to harm even the most Wretched and Vile amongst us. Avoid what others euphemistically call the Good Fight, for the Good know that all Combat is Evil by its very Nature. Seek Peace, and the Peace of your Spirit shall be Fulfilled.

The Road of the Life of Peace is not easy nor well-travelled, but it is the Road that calls to you, Children of Tunare. Be Fleet of Wing and fly above the Fray and Turmoil about you. Heal and show Mercy upon all you encounter, and even though they may seek your very Life, recall that you are compelled to first do no harm even unto them.

I ask this of you in the Name of Tunare, as She has asked the Same of your humble servant. May Tunare bless you and keep you safe until we shall meet again.

With Love and Concern,

Schmetterlink
