I did an analysis of my 3 Crafting toons - L 43 Jeweler, L 40 Provisioner and L 40 ish Carpenter. Now you'd think I should be able to do well with them. Hmm. I looked at their Recipe books and skills at L 20 & 30, then checked their Knowledge skills at Crafting.Skills NEEDED worked out like below, and all are needed at L 20/30. Thanks go to EQ2 Traders for the lists by the way, at http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/a...tr=0700000000001) The Scholarly Pursuits for a Festive FrostfellMain skills needed - Artificing, Scribing & Chemistry. - My Jeweller is high in Artificing but not too high in Scribing despite making spells too! As for Chemistry her skill is 10 same as the others, despite her starting crafting back in 05 when we had to make EVERY step of every thing we crafted before they first revamped Crafting! This means she gets 2 of the L 20 items and only 1 of L 30 items.2) Frosfell Outfits you can makeMain skills are Metalworking & Tailoring... go figure why the Snnappy Green vest etc needs Metalworking skills!Seems my Carpenter and Provisioner have the highest skills in those crafts - maybe from the revised crafting system they came up through?3) Frostfell Feasts & Decorative CraftsArtistry, Fletching & Sculpture skills. So my Provisioner can do the cooking ones and my Carpenter can do the Sculpting like the mugs of hot Chocolate & lanterns, & the Fletching ones like the Candy Canes. It means I cannot possibly get Pristines in most crafted items. Break down by scroll/recipes1) Green & Black cane, Purple & Black cane, Red & Black striped cane, Red & white striped cane All Fletching L 20 skillsFrosted apples, Frostfell candies, Frostfell chip cookies, Frostfell shaped cookies, Moist fruitcake, All Artistry L 20Mug of hot chocolate - L 20 Sculpting

Pitcher of mulled claret, Blue, Purple, Yellow paper lanterns L 30 Sculpting--------

2) All candy staffs - L 20 MetalworkingAll Bucklers - L 30 MetalworkingSnappy green & red vest, Snappy green boots, snappy red & green sleeves, snappy red bloome All Metalworking L 30Big purple stocking, Small purple stocking, All festive robes, patched leather stocking, Warg spotted hanging boot All Tailoring L 303) Icy snowdrift, Artificing L 20

patched leather present, Small black present - All Scribing L 20Small purple candle - Chemistry L 20Etched snowflake & Ornate snowflake - Artificer L 30Frstfell cards - All Scribing L 30

Large purple candle - Chemistry L 30

I got pristine on every single level 30 frostfell recipe on a 37 provisioner (blue con) (alt on a diff server), the most tries anything took was 3. The only crafting gear that character has is the first cloak from the journeymans quest and level 20 & 33 tinkered items.

What tinkered items? My Provisioner is a Fury I don't use for combat now but she wears her full L 30 odd combat kit. Do you know if Totems for regen help? Or the potions for crafting we get as Year or 6 Month rewards?

Have to say I didn't see the Energy levels of any of my toons decrease when crafting in Frostfell.

I could always get 1 item of the L 30s in crafts I had low scores like Sculpting and Artificing and Metalworking, but the bar went down rapidly preventing Pristines, thus 2 of them.

You need to keep pressing your durability buttons if the bar is rapidly going down.

Thanks for the Link, interesting article. I don't think any of my toons are in tune with their craft. Kerran is L 44 Jeweler & Assassin L 71; Dark Elf is L 40 Provisioner & L 26 Fury; and the Carpenter L 40 is Half Elf Berserker L 28! So no help there from racial traits.

Will investigate Tinkered items cos none of them are high enough to do their craft quests. As for the Durability, well hitting those 3 icons can make the Durability go down faster than ever. Also, once I got 2 of the robes made and immediately after I only managed one - RNG strikes again. /le sighs.

The list caused me to trot out some of my alts to try and provide some relief to my beleagured carpenter. I found that I could split the raws into two bags: one for the provi stuff, and the other for everything else. So only one bag needed to be swapped around to experiment. The tailor made the clothing stuff. the jeweler had a ridiculously easy time with all the artificing and chemistry stuff and made all the candles and snowflakes, and I let the sage tackle the cards and presents. After all the struggling to get to pristine on the carp, the combines flew by, and as a happy by-product, they all leveld as well (since they were all 20+ to begin with).

So thanks for breaking it all down and making it visible in one place.
