I am no writer, so this won't be the best story in the world, and not even well written. I free writing this just for a way to pay my lunch break at work. Thanks for reading!

My life was a simple one. It all started one fine spring day when I crawled out of the small stream that was my brother and sisters home in Antontica. My parents were so proud of us as we came up onto land for the first time. I can still see my fathers face, so full of pride as his first children start their journey in life, as it fell from his shoulders and rolled into the ditch. His face was replaced by a grinning orc raider who had decided to rob my family of their meager possessions. My mother scooped me up and ran for the city wall yelling for help. Out of no where appeared several mounted Paladins in shinining Silver armor.

"Run for the city gates we will hold them off so you can get to saftey" Cried the Paladin captain. He urged his horse forward to meet our attackers head on. From the view over my mothers shoulder I could see them hacking the orcs apart screaming out praise for their warrior god. I knew in my heart then what I was destined to be.

Life in the city was tough. Mom spent her days begging for coin on the corner and evenings working in shady taverns down by the docks. When I was old enough to decide what I wanted to do with my life I headed to the Paladin Temple to become a Holy Warrior. As I approached the temple I knew this is where I belonged. At the front gate there were two young paladins guarding the doors. I approached them with as much bravely as I could muster.

"Halt, what business do you have with the temple" Asked the paladin

"I wish to become a Paladin and remove the scrounge of evil from the world" I replied confidently.

"Please enter and see Captain Talhessen he will decide if you are up to the task"

I strode with the gate following the directions he gave me. I found the Captain in a court yard that appeared to be a training ground for new recruits. I waited until their training for the day ended. He must have noticed me because afterwards he walked up to me.

"Are you here to become a Paladin? Do you have what it takes? Are you willing to give you life to protect the weak and innocent?" Captain Talhessen asked me.

I quickly told him my story and how I wanted only to protect the weak and innocent more than anything in my life.

He listened intently as I told my story "I remember that day well. I was the one who heard your mothers cries for help. If you want to become a Paladin I will take you as my squire and train you."I accepted his offer and ran home to tell my mother the good news. When I arrived at our meager apartment above the inn she was currently working at, I found the door kicked in and the place a mess.

"Mother!! MOTHER!!" I cried running towards her bedroom.

Crumpled in the corner I found her with a dagger in her back.

"Mother mother, who has done this to you?"

"A burgler came in and stole what little gold we had for food and I tried to stop him...." She replied weakly.

"Hold on Mother I will take you to the temple and get you healed"

I ran as fast as I could manage with my mother in my arms. I made it to the temple and rushed passed the guards into the middle of the court yard. I explained to the priest who was giving lectures what had happened. He bent down to tend to my mother. He called to his god to bestow him the power to save this poor froglok. A light appeared in his hand and slowly spread to cover my mother, from head to toe, in a glowing light. I watched in amazement as her wounds closed and the color came back to her face. She smiled at me and I knew everything would be ok.

Being a Paladin wasn't about money, Captain allowed us to stay move into the temple and live. My mother still resides there cooking and cleaning for the Temple. She herself has found religion and attends services daily. I have never seen her so happy. I send her letters everytime I pass one of our amazing Norrathain express boxes.

I moved out of the temple to explore the world. I first traveled to The butcher block mountains to offer aid to the dwarves who have been evicted from their home city of Kaladim. I then traveled to the Steamfont mountains to aid the gnomes with their Kobold problems. From there I traveled to Everfrost to help the pioneers settle the wild land. Now I am in the overrealm helping free other frogloks from their cruel slavers. I don't know where my journey will take me next, but I do know that I will continue to fight evil until my dieing breath.
