TSO nerf, I just realised this...(Question)

<p>Keep the STR line since now you can use weapons with it.  My monk is still only 76 but I went with STR, INT and some WIS and my DPS is very good so far.</p>

<p>I use my monk to harvest now. Weeee fun. SKs are better, but I wouldn't reroll, since I smell a nerf coming for them.</p>

There is a threat meter that is a bubble with swords behind it and a percentage point that tells you how much attention you have of the mob.</span></p><p><span style="color: #00cc00;">I don't recall if they fixed the AoE or not, my test Monk is low on the AA's</span></p>

<p>Nope, just roll another class. </p><p>AOE is still trash on test, devs are completly ignoring all of us that are posting in the test forum, its just not worth growing your monk, you will come to loath it like some of us have.</p>

<p>A monk can still pump out respectable dps in a raid, and has useful buffs (casting speed, haste, MT avoidance, altruism) but for tanking TSO instances you need a group that understands your limitations.    I'm fine tanking instances with guildies, but it can be frustrating with pickups with big burst AE dps... you're in TAB hell then <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>A lot of guilds are bringing a bruiser in now rather than a monk, since you still get the MT avoidance and altruism, and the bruiser brings more dps and buffs raid dps... it will be interesting to see how the bruiser's (de)aggro buffs help (or not) with the LU51 hate changes.</p><p>In terms of spec, STR to the end and INT for crits are still strong, but the AE autoattack AA ability appears weak (24%) compared to plate tanks (40%).</p><p>Anyways, whining is for bruisers <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>The STR line seems to be nerfed but since you can use weapons with it, it isn't really a nerf, just a change.</p><p>There seem to be a number of ninja nerfs also though. I use to be able to harvest without being interrupted. Now I am interrupted 70-80% of the time. Also, I get knocked back or stunned substantially more than even with RoK.</p><p>Anyway, it is hard to play a monk successfully. I use alts when I get frustrated or bored but the monk is still my main. Can't see changing in the future either.</p><p>lvl 80 Monk - Butcherblock</p>
