Brigand Vs. Swashy?

<p>I am thinking of starting a new character.</p><p>Which is better for soloing -- Brigand or Swashy?</p><p>Thanks</p>

<p>Both work fine soloing all the way up but i must admit its prob easier killing heroics at 80 as a brigand. But a swashy can do it aswell.</p>

<p>Both solo pretty well, but Brigand is definitely better for single target chain pulling (such as grinding quests) or big targets (name hunting, etc). Their burst DPS is higher, and they have more control abilities (stuns and such) at their disposal, which are the two most important things in the game for soloing (as far as just the killing goes, FD certainly expidites matters, but both have that available to them, should they choose). The only time a Swash is going to solo better than an equally geared/skilled Brigand is in an AoE setting, be it multiple mob encounters, or something like writ grinding (such as early 60's Qeynos KoS writs where there's like 4 writs for the same mob <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ).</p><p>By no means is either a slacker in the solo department, however.</p>

<p>well, this is coming from someonewho only played swashie for a couple levels at 34-38 area ... Brigand and swashie - to me, feel completely different.</p><p>If I had to put it into words ... the swashie was more tank-like with faster lower damage attacks, mainly frontal - only a couple positional attacks.  Swashie has some neat tricks up their sleeve, and can do some pretty cool things.  They get a short mez, for one thing.</p><p>Brigand ... feels more like a DPS character (thought I know swashie does a lot of DPS).  They really feel like a back stabbing ruffian that uses a lot of dirty tactics to win a fight.  I don't really think I'm putting this into words very good.</p><p>I enjoy brigand a lot more than swashie - which is why I betrayed back to brigand.</p>
