Related I am sure to other peoples problems with crashing in TSO. I have not expirience a crash to desktop, but rather a flurry of drops to character selects when zoning. Nearly 80% of the time when trying to zone anywhere in game, I will be booted out and have to wait until my character is dumped from the world.

Not Using Vista, have an Nvidia card, recent drivers, updates, checked etc, Direct X 9.c

Any word on potentials fixes?

I hav a dual core processor & I unchecked the dual core option and I have hardly crashed at all since then. Might be worth a try.

Good Luck

Tried that. Hasnt made a difference. I am thinking it is game side or server side, because it happens almost instantly when hitting zone line. Like a failed initiate load, or something else. I always end UP in the zone when I log back in, but it gets exhausting after about the 5th time in a night..

Same problem here, I'd say one out of every 5 zonings bumps me to character select just like you say, immediately when I click the portal choice or run across a zone line. I had been cursing my ISP, maybe I won't be so quick to blame them now.

Greetings,The problem you're describing sounds like a router issue. I would advise bypassing your router and plugging your computer directly into the modem as a first step. If you try that and it corrects your issue then you'll need to configure your router if you wish to continue using it.The following site has great information about router configuration:http://www.portforward.com/english/...routerindex.htmSimply select the router you are using then select Everquest on the next page. You will then be presented with a walkthrough on how to forward the correct ports. Please respond if you need any further assistance.
