I was just wondering, what is the quickest way to the tradeskill of 19, when I can talk to the trainer and pick sage for my necromancer? I am currently just making a ton of scrolls, like Coil (Apprentice IV), etc. It is a very slow grind, and when I hit up the broker for higher lvl scrolls and recipes, it said I have to lvl 15 to purchase them. I was wondering if that is my characters lvl, or my tradeskill? I am guessing it is my characters lvl. Anyways, thanks in advance for the information!

Just make pristine lvl items, and make everything at least once to the pristine lvl (u get a lil bonus xp 1st time). After you hit 20 what helps also is once you make 1 of each new recpie you get and you havnt lvled just from that do writs.

Yeah, that's what I have been doing, but after having done it to all the Sage/Necro items, it obviously is a large drop in XP from there on out. Should I just level all the other skills as well? Tailoring, etc., for those XP bonuses?

Don't skip the crafting tutorial either, as that gives tradeskill XP at the completion of each quest.

Yup, great information everyone. Thanks a lot. I didn't even think about doing the other healer spells....I can jump a few levels with that. And yeah, I went through the tutorial, hence the lvl 11 in like one hour. But anyways, thanks a lot everyone.

Just the past weekend, I started a new toon who is going to be a jeweller. I went from level 1 artisan to level 16 scholar in about 4 hours. Make one of everything (scrolls any class other than necro and frankly you should outlevel the ability to do every single one). Granted, once the vitality runs out, you slow down some... but /claim a 1 week veteran reward and use the 28% ts exp bonus potions. You CAN make 20 in a day, but generally the last 4 levels are a grind.

Incidently, anyone looking for scout upgrades on LDL, I am now 20 jeweller and I'll make app4 upgrades for any scout for fuel costs while I'm leveling. I'll make adepts too, but I'd like to keep the powders Contact Solhraev for details!

You say keep the powders? What does this mean? I am planning on selling all of my Adept IV spells, and selling them on the broker....

Cant remember what the powders are used for anymore

You have more than likely just been making App4's, which do not return powders (but then they dont use rares either ).

The powders are used by alchemist for making mastercrafted potions and poisons iirc.
