A couple months at the most, if you don't slack.

i'd say 4 to 6 weeks if that. 4 to 6 hours a day is nice chunk of time and makes really good use of the vitality feature. good luck on your grindage and have fun

Thanks for your responses

Really enjoing the necro so far.

Questing, Discovery, Named kills (kill every named you see on the way up at least once), Collections (never pass a shiney).

Grinding is pretty worthless. Load yer log with quests and burn through them. Do heritage quests for lots of excess AA and EXP on the way up.

We're heavily dependant on AA's so you want to focus on getting adventure EXP from things that also give you alot of AA exp. Questing is the big one here.

And make sure the moment you hit 21AA's you get a respect Mirror made for you so you can have both a group and solo spec. There is no worthwhile hybrid spec for Necro. You gotta go full group or full solo to be effective. Respec Mirror is your best friend.

And don't rush to 80. It happens fast enough just running through the timelines. Necro is the hardest mage class to learn to play effectively. Spend some time learning everything you can about it and you'll have a much richer experience on the way up and end game.

Necro's have issues finding groups in a lot of cases because many see the solo ability and race for 80 with it. But if you stop to smell the roses once in a while you'll realise the vast difference between soloing and grouping as a necro and you'll learn how to be amazing at both.

And while it may be hard for most Necro to find groups, once you show a few people you know your stuff word gets out and groups will find you. Necro is an awesome class if played well, but extremely hard to master.

The Respec AA mirror he is referring to is called The Mirror of Reflected Achievements and getting one allows you to store an additional profile on it for your AA useage. So you can maximize your AA placement to benefit you the most when you solo, save it, then redo your AAs again to benefit you most in group/raid. Then depending on what you are doing during your session, you choose which profile will suit it best and load it up.

Any crafter can make the mirror provided they have the right amount of faction with the merchant that sells the recipe (in Neriak, he is near the Crafting Writ givers).

I also HIGHLY agree with the earlier statement that there is no good hybrid spec.....every SUMMONER not just necro should invest in one of these early on.

Once you obtain one, you can search the forums here for a couple of well thought out point distributions to help maximize your abilities. Best of luck!

Lord Xavulon - Antonia Bayle
