Far Seas Strategic Pricing Manuals - Drop Rate?

<p>Hi all.  I was just wondering what your drop rate has been for the Far Seas Strategic Pricing Manuals... and what dropped.</p><p>4 instances - 1 manual - Far Seas Strategic Pricing Manual II</p>

I have done the missions almost every day since launch and last night i got Manual IV finally... the only one i have seen up to now is Manual II.

<p>10ish minisions (really haven't kept track) gotten all of the manuals and started getting dupes. I HAVE NOT SEEN that freaking spoon, earing, or other neat stuff i've been trying to get, gotten added coins a few times in the chests.</p>

<p>It's ironic because I've seen both the rolling pin and spoon drop, but only a net of two recipes ever.  And of course, I lost the roll on one of those two books.</p>

<p><span style="color: #ff6600;">OOC.</span></p><p><span style="color: #ff6600;">3 group instances, 1 book.</span></p><p><span style="color: #ff6600;">However, it is not the drop rate that concerns me. It is the fact that the books are not "smart loot" enabled. For those who spend hours doing these instances only to get a repeat book of one they already have (or everyone in the group already has), it is pretty horrible. This is made worse by the chest being locked for a full hour, making giving it away to someone not in group very difficult and cumbersome (ie, the other person needs to sit in zone for that full hour doing nothing in order to get it).</span></p>

<p>Trying to remember.</p><p>16 instances.</p><p>book 1: 5</p><p>book 2: 0</p><p>book 3: 2</p><p>book 4: 4</p><p>earrings: 3</p><p>rolling pins: 1</p><p>always drops a jewelery peice.</p><p>Often drops 1 t8 rare.</p><p>rarely drops a token. Like 3 so far from chests.</p>

<p>Apparently, I'm going to hit/pass 20 instances before I even see a book II or III drop (no less win one), or a fabled item, or a piece of NO TRADE jewelry.</p><p>Seeing tradeable jewelry drops in 80% of chests, extra token in 25%, and only seen two pieces of tradeable jewelry drop once (in the same chest).</p><p>It 'feels' de-tuned, the drop rate -- those first three days gave more items per chest (haven't received more than three items in a chest since).</p>

<p>25 Instances (all solo);</p><p>Book 1 Never</p><p>Book 2 Three Times</p><p>Book 3 Three Times</p><p>Book 4 Four Times</p><p>Lots of lore crafter legendary items, a few rares and extra tokens, no specials.</p><p>I have 40 void shards and could if I had book 1 craft myself an entire set of armour as i've been hoarding them until such a time but soon I will give up.</p><p>They really need to put these books on the Far Seas vendor so we can buy them once we get to 50k faction for a few tokens and some money.</p>

<p>I've done 6 solo runs and I've only gotten Pricing Volume I from the first time I ran it.  Also, in that same chest I got a piece of jewelry, a rare, and the book.  All of the other times I've only gotten 1 piece of jewelry, which kinda sucks.</p>

<p>Chests do only drop on the group missions but you can do the group missions solo.</p><p>The actual solo missions are just solo missions, no chests.</p>

Thought chests only dropped on the group instances???</p></blockquote><p>Oops.  Sorry.  I should have said <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Two solo group missions completed</span></em>.  Now I'm up to 5 or so.  Got only one book so far and duplicate bracelets.  Had to transmute one to pick up the other last night. </p><p>I'm a sage.  I got two sage drops, but I don't need them.  I've put them up for sale, hoping to buy some charms for other crafts with the proceeds.  Can anyone think of why a level 80 Master Sage would need the three sage charms?</p>
