<p>Firstly lemme say I love the new ts stuff added with the expansion! TY Domino and team.</p><p>I have to admit I'm a bit confused as to why the FS Innovation gives us reflective shards and chomatic essenses as rewrds. The ability to get a t8 rare or extra token I give a big <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" /> but a reflective shard? I deleted the last 3 of these I got to free up space in my bag. On the AB server they often sell for 1 gold or less on the broker, and the essenses aren't much better. I can see the use for AA mirrors with new AA tree........but again the shards are a dime a dozen now. The Chromatic essenses make items from last expansion that by most standards are outdated by the new TSO stuff. Even the ones that are still usefull (like the extra items count and broker slots) are pretty cheap now.</p><p>So my ideas.......</p><p>Idea #1</p><p>Add new recipies using these items as components. They could be additional Mara faction recipies.</p><p>OR</p><p>Idea #2</p><p>Remove the shards and essences from the reward table and istead give us something like this........</p><p>Common result..........T8 rare</p><p>Uncommon result ...........Far Sea Token</p><p>Rare (or even super rare) result ..........One of the special raws needed to craft the Mara faction recipies (rowan berries, ect)</p><p>This would at least give us a usefull item each time AND a chance (even if it's a tiny one) of getting the items needed for those faction recipies we ground 40k out to get.</p><p>So......other ideas and opinions?</p>

<p>Last time I checked on the essences they were still over a plat on Everfrost...have no idea on the shards will have to take a look when I log on later!</p>

<p>Shards are about 1p on unrest .. essence I think are <10g. Shards are not dropping like they use to and with most people running TSO, both of them should climb in price slowly.</p>

<p>I think the only thing Innovation should drop is Far Seas Tokens.  Everything else is completely purchasable or harvestable.  If I need a rare for something, I can buy it.  The only thing I can't get is the tokens and every time I get a rare I'm disappointed, but was happy to see a token drop the other day.</p><p>I understand the whole concept and reasoning behind it (we're tradeskillers in a tradeskill intance and usually use the rares), but I would rather have a token than another Incarnadine cluster.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>I'm quite happy with it.  Just getting it during a long mission is sometimes reward enough.  I love zipping to the end of the combine.</p>

<p>Even on AB the reflective shards are a bit less common than you think. Out of my last 6 seb runs we cleared down to Koitz and I think out of all those runs there was 1 or 2 shards dropped.</p><p>And the last time I bought a shard the price rose to about 80g. Not really expensive, but its a trend.</p><p>Chromatic essences while much, much more common will start getting rare too. As far as I know, they do not drop in TSO instances. When people start hitting 77 they will still want a lot of the better RoK items made. The price of shards will slowly rise over time.</p><p>And honestly, we're talking about a free bonus here. I never complain about free. Even if you never get one of these events, you still get what you signed up for. Innovations are just bonus.</p>
