Hi all -- Casual player here; solo always. I've read the boards on solo aa, but with the changes to STR and new TSO aa's, can you serious Monks recommend a new build for Solo play? Currently, I only have 86 points (working on more) and am level 74 - 2 MC weps. Right now, my AA's are in:

Brawler - STR: 4-4-6-6; WIS: 4-5-6-7-1; INT: 4-5-8-5-1

Monk - Enchance Kick - 3; Enchance Heal - 5; Enhance will - 1; Enhance External Calm - 1; Enhance Tsunami - 4

TSO - Have not spent any on TSO yet.

Any recommendations for a new solo build would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Drop the last ability on INT in favor of Chi (STR-5). Since RoK the INT end ability has been gimped. Mobs in RoK and TSO hit far too hard to try and stay below 30%. Also max out STR-4 if you can.

Chi is now worth having in a solo/group build.

I have to have the same solo/group AA spec as I'm told to have Altruism for raids

So what I have is:

Starter (1)

STR 4-4-8-8-1 (26) - double attack is very good for monks, more deflection, and Chi is great for burst dps

WIS 4-4-8-6-1 (24) - the AE proc helps in TSO and the 16 second Crane Flock is great for an AE aggro boost

INT 4-4-8-3 (19) - melee crits and a dash of parry

There's 5 or 6 of those points you could shift around between HP, parry, deflect or perhaps a longer Crane Sweep or Eagle Spin, but I think this has been a good Brawler build for me in TSO instances so far.

I agree that Eagle Shriek really doesn't help a lot, and anyway we have improvements in our self mit buffs now too, and many monks will be getting high melee crits from gear etc.
