I think it could be a tribute to Vhalen. I actually WOULD call him a Shaper, since he guided the direction this game has developed into. The other designers are the builders who actually programmed in the world, it's structures, and NPCs, but Vhalen helped shape how the world would end up being built.

Hmm... I wonder....

^ Yes, but Vhalen himself put that in. This tombstone is new, and indicated someone who only worked on the game for the last 5 years (meaning he's still most likely alive and older than 5 years old.)

I think the other designers put this in for him as tribute.

Zabjade,

There was a post on the Town Square about 2 months ago concerning the death of SWG Lead Gameplay Designer Jeff Freeman. Perhaps that is the recent death you remember.

I'm not able to see it myself, but I do know it's there. Perhaps knowing why some can see it and other's can't will shed some light on who the tombstone is about

Thanks for posting, Devic.. I'd have given you credit where it was due but I had a busted hand and a difficult time typing :S

There was a reason I asked you to jump in group voice, lol.

On a more important note though, has anyone found anything else out about this? Who was it that designed the ring of fate quest lines?

There is another item out there that can be used to see the engraving which would probably be an even bigger clue...
