It increases the protection value of your shield, which in turn increase your block value.

So yes, but the higher base value of you shield will mean more block you get from the AA.

Doesn't really seem to increase that much. Next time I respec I will check the value of it.

Any word on this? I'm quite surprised there is not more discussion on this. I have the Guard of Drelikus which has 677 protection. I'm about to put points into Seal of Faith which is the shield effectiveness buff but would like to know if it translates into a positive change for shield ally.

Shield mod helps, but the effect isn't huge.

Equiping and unequiping aITEM 1101896417 -395682327:Righteous Rage Earring/a I see block go up by 0.9%.

(Base avoid goes up by 1.2%, but thats irrelevant for Shield Ally and accounted for by the +5 defense).

You can relatively easily get another 20% shield effectiveness by completing that set, and also the druidic one, but personally I'd lose too many stats/effects to warrant it in my opinion.

32% Battle Fervor - 8 points in Cleric AA

10% Seal fo Faith - 5 points in TSO Priest tree

On the other hand are cheap enough to go for.

Shield Effectiveness doesn't displayed shield factor of your shield btw (well it doesn't on ProfitUI anyway).
