Impossible to change the default directory for installation?

<p>Im possibly a returning eq2-player that have been free for 6 months.</p><p>Now I need my fix of eq2 and I cant seems to change the default directory for installation.</p><p>Since my cd's of the game is since long gone I download the installer (<a href="http://download.station.sony.com/patch/download/eq2/eq2-us.zip">http://download.station.sony.com/pa.../eq2/eq2-us.zip</a>) and fire it up.</p><p>I then comes to the changing installation screen and I change it from c:Program... to E:Program... and carry on.</p><p>Hit the installation button and guess what?</p><p>It is installed in the default directory anyway... =(  (Cant have it installed on C: due to short amount of space)</p><p>So I found some help topics that said I need to delete a hidden file in C:ProgramInstallShield Installation Information , but I find no file connected to eq2 in that folder..</p><p>I have also with my limited knowledge of regedit tried to delete all enterys of lauchpad and eq2, but still no effect..</p><p>Anyone that could help me with this? pretty please, =)</p>

It isnot installed. what you can do is</p><p>1. create the directory where you want it.</p><p>2. extract the zip file into the new directory</p><p>3. in windows explorer find the eq2.exe in the new directory, right click and send to desktop as shortcut</p><p>4. use this shortcut to launch the patcher and download the game into the new directory.</p>
