Here is a map of the Shaddered Lands area overlaid on top of a map of Antonica I found. None of the lands have any rotation(from there oriantation in EQ2). Please help me line them up more correctly and get the proper rotations on those islands that need it. I marked PoIs I know well with blue text and traced the zone lines with blue lines. The Areas between the zone lines I marked with H.T.B.D. or Here there be dragons a node to the term used on old Eath Maps that basically marked unexplored lands. Mostly it is between zone lines like TS and Ant or Nek Forest and CL, but it also is part of the southern end of the Desert of Ro.

Basically what I am trying to do is make a "Pangia" type map with the EQ2 Islands rotated into the oriantation they had in EQ1.

This has been tried numerous times before:

http://www.celestialmischief.org/im...mpositeFull.jpg

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...186988

http://eq2.gamepressure.com/new_antonica.asp

The problem is that only *some* points of interest within a zone seem to have been rotated, (actually a rotated mirror image), while other areas within the same zone remain in their, (more or less), original locations and orientations. So it is not as simple as merely rotating an EQ2 zone so that the points of interest line up with the EQ Live zone.

Good luck on the project though. I still continue to try to find match-ups between EQoA, EQ Live, and EQ2 maps. The real fly in the ointment is Antonica. Kunark and Faydwer seem to have maintained a workable relationship with their EQ Live counterparts, but Antonica is a jumbled mess.

I am fully aware that is has been tried befor, however we have a new maps now that are supposed to be more accurate. Besides most of those maps date back to launch and don't have any of the new lands on them.

That said I do think the old map of D'Lere looks more correct then the current map does.
