hey guys, im a returning monk wanting to get back in on some fun.

I am level 72, own Rise of Kunark, and all the Adventure packs, im just lacking The Shadow Odyssey. If I can really get back into it again, i might pick it up. But anyway,

You can look me up to see my gear, my achievements etc, im on the server Unrest and my name is Liou.

What kind of cool stuff has happened in the last year? What things can I solo, where should I group, everything everything a monk should know.

I just want to get back into the game and get a feel for it again. Where can I get a mount besides my carpet? Should I pvp? Where should I quest? Should I quest? What are some fun heritages? Is MOA worth doing? CoF? Guise of the Deceiver?

Etc etc, thanks guys.

Well you have missed lots of stuff then. I would say doing quests is gonna be your best bet to get to 80. The bigger factions from each zone have gear you can buy once you hit 50k that would be decent and some of it is better then mc stuff as you lvl up. As you go along harvest every ore node you can to get lucky and get the loams for your spells. At 75 look up the thuga line of quests or a few coins more on wiki. Great end item for every class. At 76ish you can start getting dps spots in the easy instance runs in rok. Look up your fabled epic quest and start to get the prerequisites done for it. Can't start it till 80 but no harm in being ready. Its a boring run to the lvl cap especially if you hate questing like i do but since monks can burn thru solo crap easily it wont be that bad for you. As far as mounts go there is a free bear mount from the tso box you can get. That or join a guild and get a cheaper mount to use to make getting around faster. At 78 dont forget to do your worker sledgemallet quest for insta proc port to jarsath wastes. Once you hit 80 and have gotten some decent legendary armor from all of your quests its time to kick the rust off your tank job. Now the fun begins and you get to show what a monk can do in the simple runs like coa and voes. Once you get some better gear from those zones its then time to up the ante and try mc chelsith and re2. Also dont forget the shared dungeons like kc sebilis and chardok. Lots of really good gear that should be doable with a non fabled monk and proper group setup. Get your name out there make some friends kick some butt and improve as you go. Biggest thing i can say is never be scared of dying. That is how you learn and improve your skills and your toon. Have fun with it.

Also Devistation Fist is not longer a level with you CA, you will need to buy the later versions I think the highest level one so far is Desolution Fist.
