Hello I am looking for a new toon to solo with (going to delete my Bruiser) and I was told that TSO brought about more DPS to the SK.

So my question is did the TSO changes affect SK's DPS from start to end level or just at upper levels ? My concern is that they may have gave more RAID/Tank abbility at the exspense of Solo skills (DPS and Healing) if so can someone please let me know what changed to add the DPS and if the solo healing (life Taps ?) is still on par ?

Thanks.

It's increased at lower level too.

Levelling a SK is so easy now, and now it's really hard to decide whether to take int line, str line or reaver first..

Anyway, have fun soloing blue and white heroics in crafted armour, ut's really easy now, i recommend to buy every 10 lvl the new MC weapons with the "blessed" proc, as it increases all spells and even the heals on lifetaps, and procs very often.

What exactly makes it better? Just the TSO aa's or what? I'm totally lost on what's happened that makes the SK more dps from start to finish.

Or are you just saying cause of the blessed weapons the lower levels are better?

Damage from most spells have been increased, reset timer on our big nuke has been decreased to 5 min, gained a strong aoe. Those mostly increased the dps, dunno how AA effected it.

Making it really handy It also gives the big nuke a life tap too.

In my opinion, outside of AAs even, one of the most important changes made to both crusaders was related to casting times. Across the board they were reduced. That eliminates a ton of interrupts that previously plagued us if we tried to use our slower casting abilities. Many of our damage abilities were also reworked and their damage values raised. We had lagged behind in particular when RoK came out. And yes, several AA lines were reworked and improved. All in all, it was overdue.

To the OP. Solo SKs were always pretty good (although that was diminished in RoK content). Since we have seen some love with TSO it should only be better now. I just purchased a 2nd account and let my kids each create a character to run with me. One of them chose SK and I had no need or desire to push them in any other direction as I thought it was a fine choice for a 1st character (it was mine) as well as a solo/duo character. As far as I can tell, the heal amounts on our abilities really didn't change much.

Soloing on an SK was and is easy.

I went 448 int line for spell crits, then went down reaver line.

I did the same at the start, went for int 448 then reaver and strength. Although with the new AA tree i just went into the second tree to get Battle Hardening (physical damage reduction of 50 per point). At least it looked interesting to me, any comments if its indeed usefull ?
