A Halfling, a Dark Elf, and a Jum Jum Pie (Frostfell Interlude)

<p><em>Here's an illustrated story that's perfect for the holidays (particularly Thanksgiving for the American players.) </em></p><p>Once upon a time, a dark elf was carrying his halfling wife (how they came to be married is the subject for a totally different story), when she saw a nice, warm jum jum pie up on a high shelf.</p><p><img src="http://www.lynndaniel-art.com/pie_stry_1.jpg" width="610" height="720" /></p><p>Laiyo (for that was the halfling's name), like any halfling loved both jum jum and pie, and to see them both mixed together was something she couldn't resist. So, she decided to climb up to reach it.</p><p>And what better way than to use your handy husband... as a step ladder!</p><p><img src="http://www.lynndaniel-art.com/pie_stry_2.jpg" /></p><p>Poor Eibon! (That was, of course, the dark elf's name.)</p><p>"I can almost reach it!" she exclaims once she get up onto his shoulders.</p><p><img src="http://www.lynndaniel-art.com/pie_stry_3.jpg" /></p><p>And she does! She manages to get the pie!</p><p>"Mmmmm! Pie!" Laiyo sighs.</p><p><img src="http://www.lynndaniel-art.com/pie_stry_4.jpg" /></p><p>Unfortunately, the halfling loses her balance.</p><p>"The pie is falling! The pie is falling!" she cries out, and tries to regain control of it.</p><p><img src="http://www.lynndaniel-art.com/pie_stry_5.jpg" /></p><p><strong>Does Laiyo save the pie? I am glad you all are enjoying this series, so far.</p><p>Valkry, they are two of my favorite characters, as well!</p><p><strong>Continuing where we left off...</strong></p><p>Poor Eibon was suffering from a headache and a neck ache from Laiyo's balancing act on his head. Luckily, for him, she fell off while trying to control the pie. Now, his only problem is that he can't see!</p><p>"I've got it," the halfing woman sighs happily.</p><p><img src="http://www.lynndaniel-art.com/pie_stry_6.jpg" width="600" height="667" /></p><p>And that's when disaster hits (again)! Poor Laiyo slips, dropping the pie, and it falls from from her fingers.</p><p>"Nooooo!" she wails despondantly.</p><p><img src="http://www.lynndaniel-art.com/pie_stry_7.jpg" /></p><p>But wait! <p>Kethaera and Kahlef, thank you so much for stopping by and for your kind words!</p><p>Ketheara, people can make some really funny expressions and movements and I try to emulate that.
