im new to the game been playing about a week on crushbone and just just rolled an assassin. my question is when im casting my combat spells is my weapons base dmg included? im trying to decide if its better to have slow heavy weapons that cause alot of high base dmg with those spells or if i should get faster based weapons, im alos unsure how the proc rate works on poison. i noticed some buff spells work on a system where things proc x times per minute so does poison proc work the same. im used to Wow where what they did is increased the proc rate on slower weapons but because your hitting slower it evens out with fast weapons. also last little bit, if i can defuff a mobs poison resist does that increase the chance to land poison?

Proc rates on poison are on a proc per minute basis, and are unaffected by weapon speed.

Combat art damage isn't affected by your auto attack damage.

Debuffing poison resist increases the chance that your poison proc will land, as well as increase the damage of the proc.

Nah, slower and harder hitting are still the better way to go. Get yourself two 4.0 delay weapons. They benefit the most from haste items, and allow for the most spamming of combat arts without loss to auto attack.
