Probably a dumb question, but can someone explain the requirements for each line? I got the expansion yesterday and cranked out two AA but I can't seem to spend them effectively. I already have 70 each in the Crusader and SK trees, but everything in the Shadows tree is unspendable. Even the first ability on each line. I hover over a lot of the skills and they all say, "Requires 10 in Crusader" or "Requires 10 in Shadowknight" which I have. I'm sure I am missing some critical piece of information here.

Once I get that figured out: Has anyone come up with a preferred Shadows AA path? Just reading the skills I would imagine that Furor is a #1 priority. What's the general Shadows profile people are looking at? Are the Shadows AA worth respeccing my 70/70 out of to sink into the Shadows tree instead?

Thanks for the information, folks.

Put 10 points in general first- that's the top line.

Yeah those AA's are wasted but they let you start spending on the stuff you really want.

OK so once you sink 10 into General abilities at the top, then you can just spend 2 on Furor or do you have to go all the way down that bottom line first?

Also, are Shadows AA worth respeccing 10 or more AA out of the SK tree, just to be able to begin spending towards things like Furor?

Not an expert but here we go:

You have to spend at least 10 points in the general tree to be able to access the fighter one.

You have to spend at least 10 points in the fighter tree to be able to access the crusader one.

You have to spend at least 10 points in the crusader tree to be able to access the SK one.

In addition, I believe there are a few minimums on your total AAs to contend with. My understanding is that to access the SK (final) tree at all you need to have a total of 170 AA points combined between the KoS, EoF, and TSO AAs. There are some lower totals too to access the earlier TSO trees but if you were at max prior to the expansion it shouldn't matter.
