We've made several notes on both of these AAs throughout Beta, and now that we are live the feedback will continue. Let me start by saying the revamp of our class was needed for a long time and is very much appreciated -- so thank you! However, both Cavalier AAs are pretty much a must skip:

1. Cavalier's Call: Improves the bonuses of the crusader's Vigor of Trust and Contract from Below line of skills. Passive.

Effects: Increase the spell bonuses by 5% per rank.

Flaw: Contract from Below lines (SK) only have one "skill" affected by this AA and that's Stamina. We used to have INT as well but that was upgraded to "base spell damage by 5%." The secondary component (base spell damage) of this Raid wide buff is NOT affected by the Cavalier's Call and therefore makes the expenditure of AA totally undesirable.

Spending 5 points to gain 16.5 Stamina (M1) doesn't really make it worthwhile.

Suggestion: Change Cavalier's Call to improve bonus of skills by 5% per rank, as well as improve base spell damage by 1% per rank.

2. Cavalier's Cry: The crusader will have a chance to resist stifle effects.

Effects: Grants a 2% chance to resist Stifle effects.

Flaw: With so many other options to resist stifle effects, this AA seems redundant at best. And with AAs at capped at 200 and at a premium, spending 5 points to have a 1 in 10 chance to resist is not attractive. Especially considering the addition of "Aura of the Crusader", Cavalier's Cry is another AA that most crusaders will skip.

Suggestion: Completely change this to a Two-handed ability. As a crusader we deserve at least one 2H AA, unless of course TSO has not been itemized with Two-handed weapons to make us replace the 1H/Shield paradigm.

Replace Cavalier's Cry with 'Cavalier's Grip' - Increases damage of Two-handed weapon by 10.0 per rank.

I think how those AA are developed are fine. IMHO if increase the base spell damage by 1% per rank, and having another weapon damage increase would just make the class overboard specially with the spell %. Sure there's 1 or 3 aa's we may not use, but I can see some are useful for pvp players or duelers or w/e, not much eyecandy though for PvE we still gots a lot of options to pick however.

I know for sure the extra stam from call, and the stifle resist chance will benefit PvPers a lot more than PvE, those players need something too.

About Cavalier's Call. The effect of "Increase the spell bonuses by 5% per rank" seems not to function.I tried to get Cavalier's Call, but spell bonus didn't seem to increase. Is this a bug?Whether or not, your suggestion is so nice.

This AA is clearly fubared, for 5aa you get roughly the stamina of a duel stat god pet...

Even in the old class tree you get what, twice the stamina per point?

Most of the new AA's rock, but this one was designed for a buff that was later adjusted, and never altered in return to reflect that.

Phank wrote:

Did you read my post above?

Yes, I read your post. But when I got Cavalier's Call, the effects of increasing the spell bonuses by 5% per rank seemed not to work although the explanatory text of Cavalier's Call says "Increase the spell bonuses by 5% per rank" at least in the Japanese server, Sebilis. So I asked if Cavalier's Call was bugged or not. At least the spell damages of my SK seemed not to increase by Cavalier's Call.

Sorry, I seemed to be misled into thinking that Cavalier's Call increases spell damages.

So, was Cavalier's Call originally designed to increase only Stamina? So silly!Evidently, Cavalier's Call should increase spell damages of SK.A little Stamina is worthless to 5 points.

Ok Cavaliers or Contract of shadows Line Used to be a our dual Stat group buff of STR/STA ... Later In the revamp they made it raid wide and put in Spell Dmg Mob and Ripped the STR stat from the spell ...

When this AA piece Hit beta, the Original concept of it was to upgrade the spell Dmg Mod.. by somewhere around 28 or so . Makeing M1 master show a total of 140 spell Dmg with 5 points .. This was pretty worthless... Esp since Spell dmg is easy to just cap off.

I'm thrilled with the change of the spell to be spell dmg, but ever since this AA line has not been touched or comented about by the devs.. and atm sits as a dead AA choice... I'm up for giveing it a marginal gain as it is.. To atleast make the AA a viable choice to have.

I think that this feedback should be borne watching.Especially, Cavalier's Call is worthless now.Any fix is needed, imo.
