Im at 153 AA now. Dropped the cure garbage (Tho Immunities is great for PvP) and went to the end of the Shaman Line in the Shadow tree.

6k crit auto attacks... Oh and they double attack nearly 100% of the time. Highest DA I saw myself have was 157% (At that point I told the Illy that IA would be better on ANYTHING else.)

Maxxed haste.

Circle of the Anchients hitting for over 4k.

Saw dogdog crit his little CA for over 2k. Glad to see he has grown up finally.

For the dpsing Mystics out there... We got some love.

I am 80, I got most AA from Shadow too. In raid, in good group with dirge, my autoattack crits for 2-2.5K (while our guard does crits for 6K with same weapon delay), double attack is around 70% at best, dps mod and haste is never above 60-80, circle crits for twice less than you observe. So did you think that may be it is your equip that allows you to achieve such a damage?I definitely see damage increase too, but not nearly as huge as you have. Wonder what weapon you can get 6K autos? Even if your weapon has 600-700 max damage, no amount of DPS mods can get you essentially 7 times increase. I have pretty nice legend two hander with best max damage to delay ratio I could find. And what is your typical raid DPS with such stats?Noob mystic.

P.S. Post like yours will get us nerfed in the upcoming healer revamp.

The weapon I use for the 6k auto attacks can not be found on any PvE server sadly. Typhoon

I have always wondered how the dps + crit + base damage is figured because it never seems to truely add up.

The gear is a major factor but the AA's have helped greatly. MC haste and dps rings were the basis of this toon and then I added every RoK scout piece to finish the haste, DA, and DPS.

Zonewide I could do 4k before TSO. I have since stopped raiding but I estimate that if I didnt have to heal I'd be close to the 6k mark.

Chesty *was* retired, however I logged on last night and a quick respec may have changed my mind.

I'm so tempted to reroll, though, to a race with an extra CA. Gnome was a bad choice

if that weapon is PVP-only, please next time you post something like this, state EXPLICITELY that it is about PVP-gear. please!

otherwise next thing we will her will be something like "mystics are wayyy to overpowered, they hit for 6k with a normal weapon, NERF THEM NERF THEM" because some only read the first post of a thread etc. etc.

thank you

OMGWOWWTFPWNED nerf mystics!

Obviously i was being sarcastic. Arent we over reacting here a bit? Is one post really going to cause an entire class to get nerfed? By that theroy i can go over to what ever class i hate the most, make a bogus post about how my lvl 80 class can do 1 billion damage, and wait for the nerf?

nope, wasnt overreacting imo, was not meant in a bad way either, i just meant that its better to give the full information because (sadly more than one would think) readers tend to not question every information he/she reads on the board .... and well, i remember the agelong crusade against shaman in eq1 just because thott made nice charts and claimed many things no one questioned.

yes, we CAN crank out really nice damage if we want to, but we cannot (on PVE-servers) hit for 6k (maybe with the very best gear possible, dunno) and imo we should not.

You can hit for 6k sometimes on PvE servers . . . in a raid, with the right weapon, with the right gear, with the right group, when the mob has been ridiculously debuffed (dispatched + every other debuff known to Norrath), etc.

It is not, by any means, an every day occurrence.

I'm not sure why you don't think we should be able to hit for 6k, it's a hard hitting slow two hander, that's what it's made for.

A 6k hit does require, as Banditman mentioned, the right combination of debuffs and buffs in a raid situation

Interesting, to be sure...

I re-activated my account just out of curiosity of the new AA's, but I can't see myself staying longer than the one month. I'm very happy that mystics finally got some love!

Good luck to everyone!

What I don't understand is how you got to the end of the TSO tree with only 153 AAs. It requires 170 points spent to even put one point in the final TSO line.

Or is that different on PvP servers?

No, you can't get to the end of the TSO tree with 153 AA's. But you can get to the end of the Shaman-line (3rd row, not 4th) in the TSO tree with that.

Yep, that's what I'm using when I DPS / Solo, Lava Wrought Great Hammer. Dropped on my very first run, love that.

But again, I don't hit for 6k when I'm solo. I don't hit for 6k in groups (mainly because I tend to solo heal, and don't have time to do it). I can hit for 6k when we raid, when I'm in the OT group, when there is no need for my healing, etc.

Then again, you take that with a further grain of salt. My Illusionist has similiar experiences in a raid. His nuke, listed at like 1900 - 2200 (solo), averages 4600 and I've seen hits over 6k . . .

It's all about the buffs and debuffs.

Mystics are in a pretty good place right now. There are some things I'd like to see addressed, but overall our class is positioned pretty well. While the census numbers don't show it, it's a pretty solid class.
