So what is everyone speccing now that STR is fixed? I'm currently trying to work on my spec and wanted some feedback from the community.

Current Brawler Spec I'm going with is

Str - 4 5 8 8 2

Agi - 4 4 8 8 2

Int - 4 4 8

I really didn't want to give up the Wis line but the dmg from crane sweep didn't seem enough to justify keeping it, and since crane twirl only seem to up our dps marginally I went ahead and went Chi. Since I lost crane growth I went ahead and got healthy constitution out of the shadow line. Any thoughts?

Bruiser has better aoe damage and faster reuse encounter taunt with EOF bruiser aa than monk, not to say the powerful enhanced D&C in TSO bruiser line. However, until you get 170+ aa, wis line is still very handy since about 75% heroic content in TSO is mutliple encounters.

The damge from crane sweep is tiny but it is useful to intercept multiple encounters and place mobs all together. If you are lv80 and your role in the group is tank, it can't be wrong to get wis line until you have 170+ aa.

With the the cast time on rescue cut to half and the changes to CA crits, I dont have a problem holding aggro on single targets.

AOE is a different story and some of these zones have huge amount of linked in them (befallen).

Specing out of the wis line is suicide imo.

My biggest problem with WIS line, as the same with all other attacks that trigger on anything within AOE range, is if your fighting PVP or PVE near a guard or a non aggro mob... and you end up procing an attack on the guard or whatever is close to you that you dont want to attack... This holds true for the guards/zerkers and the Swashys of the world as well... get into some trouble some times with all those guards at every place in the maps....

it would be nice to have either a toggle of that feature or a "chance to strike anything withine aoe range that you have engaged" kind of thing... so you dont get the fear of fighting too close to non agro mobs or guards

My Monk is playing with a few builds right now. The current one is STR4,8,8,5,1 WIS4,8,8,2,1 and INT 4,4,8,2.

I was always a big fan of the AGI(2) and AGI(3) abilities but I'm having fun with Chi right now.And as stated above, Not going down the WIS line in TSO just doesn't seem like a good option.

My raid build is STR, AGI and INT.

For a soloing build I went with this....

STR 4/8/8/5/1

AGI 6/4/6/5

INT 4/4/8/5

I do like the WIS AOE, and once I play with this setup perhaps I will see the err of my ways.

Well I must thank SOE for making the strgth line a viable option now. I think the avenues that brawlers can take are much better and many discussions will be made on the "best" aa path.

Right now for soloing and minor grouping I am strgth, agil, and intel. Sure I am loosing ae, but at the same time I am getting the deflection & chi from strgth and parry & crits from intel. So far I am liking this build. Crane twirl in wis line is very weak and should be made to 25% to ae with mods to the damage it does and not just a set value.

All in all thanks again SOE you did well. Thanks bruiser community for you info in these posts. Rock on!!

I will say that I seem to be killing things better with the str line now.

Have to agree. I wouldn't want the blue AoE component of this to change for anything. Just discipline yourself, and if it's too much of a risk, then toggle it off. The ability to grab and beat non-encounter MObs is too precious to lose over the occasional unintended add.

Mogzilla wrote:

Sprinng@Nagafen wrote:

Click off the buff.

My current build is:

Str: 4,4,8,7,2Agil:4,4,8Wis: 4,4,5Int: 4,4,8

Seems to be working pretty decently so far and I like the fast reuse timer of Crane Sweep. I went light on the defensive items but plan on loading up in the Shadow line of AA's. The biggest issue I have currently is zone lag
