View Full Version : Please limit the over powered Insolent Gibe Line

<p>I am happy to see that SOE is balanceing the tank classes but  I respectfully ask that you fix the Insolent gibe line.</p><p>With the latest change:</p><p>"Insolent Gibe will now inflict melee damage in addition to the taunt. This melee attack cannot be parried, riposted or dodged. "</p><p>You have effectively given an UNLIMITED damage spell to zerkers which is out of line with EVERY other class in the game.</p><p>Every other class that I know of has a limit on there AOE's.  Insolent Gibe and it's upgrades have <strong>NO</strong> limit to the amount of mobs it can hit.   This is unfair to every other class in the game.  Please fix it by limiting the amount it can hit.</p><p>From experience this has been from 4 to 8 mobs that an AOE can hit.  Please fix this if you are going to keep things balanced.</p><p>Now for those of you that think this is just a guard talking, step back a minute. I play an 80 Guard, 80 Zerker, 80 Monk and 80 Conjy.  Zerker is the only one that gets an unlimited AOE.</p><p>Thank You.</p>

<p>Correct me if I am wrong... but Insolent Gibe funtions just like thornshields... which is.. when they are hit, it procs... So are you saying thornshields are overpowered? I might be wrong in my interpretation of the move however. This is just like the Guardian's hate proc when they get hit... its just something to make sure the mobs stick to you when you are fighting.</p><p>I do not believe it is overpowered, but feel free to give me more details on how this move works.</p>

<p>The original post is misleading.  Insolent Gibe is not "unlimited", it has a fairly long recharge and is quite limited in its duration.</p><p>The Berserkers needed a good boost in this area.  And I'll point out that I'm a Guardian saying this.</p>

<p>Guardian's Precise Strike has two times easer hit chance than any Beserker spell, extremely overpowered, NERRFF!! Where will this end if Beserkers have a spell that can hit mobs? Beserkers tanking? oO</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure you're not going to find anyone here Krunck who agrees with your statements.  Zerkers have been hurting for hate and outdated combat arts for years now, and if you actually played a zerker like you state then you would have already known this and not bothered to post.  But like others, I suspect you simply have some kind of class envy going on here and don't like the fact that zerkers might have just one tool you as a Guardian, Gods gift to tanks and fighters everywhere, want for yourself.</p><p>Focus your attention to the things that have hurt us all.  The huge loss in DA, the JoA Nerf, to shield block, uncontested avoidance and other things that have hit us hard.</p><p>Oh lookie what I found that your class got got boosted today...</p><ul><li>Added agility and wisdom bonuses to the defensive stances. What I am saying is Insolence needs to be brought in line with other AOE's.  Every other AOE out there has a max target of 8. I don't care if they are the AOE tanks nor that they can now tank. I am happyto see it happening. I am asking that 1 ability be brought in line with EVERY other Aoe in the game.  That is all I am saying. the spell is in need of being fixed. Especially when you add a mythical that would give an unlimited rescue. Sorry if that seems like a problem to anyoe, but if AOE's on EVERY other class are limited and even al l the other Zerker AOE's are limited. Then it is about time that this one is as well.  Bring it in line with the rest of the game.</p>

Either way not sure how it matters since if you're fighting more than 8 heroic mobs you're probably in some serious dung.</p>

<p>not certain but i believe fury's aoe's such as there fire pet/lightning ball/and fury of storm has no limit. plz don't hate anouther class just cause your not the go to tank</p>

<p>Oh please, it's overpowering that it does damage?  Cry me a river.  The patch notes are also misleading since only the initial cast does damage, not the proc.  Oh and FYI if you're pulling more then 8 mobs at once they're probably solo mobs or ^ or lower heroics so who cares?  Try pulling more then eight even con ^^^ and see how long you last.  You might pull it off if you have fantastic healers but chances are you're dead.</p><p>Just another Guardian whining that he may actually need to learn to play to hold onto a raid/group spot.  <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/2786c5c8e1a8be796fb2f726cca5a0fe.gif" border="0" />  Here's a hint, if you aren't completely incompetent you probably have nothing to worry about.</p>
