yea...i didnt think that many people used ingame voice that much either...vent or even teamspeak is the way to go..their both free and dont cause server problems...in every game that i have played ingame VOIP usually gets disabled on most servers because it causes server issues...only in eq2 do i see a fair amount of people using VOIP...and in console games also lOol...however ingame voice is better than nothing =)..just my 2 cents..im waiting for the servers to be "unlocked"...

Regards,

         Xaviour

No, But it does mean that the In-game chat does not cause anymore "server issues" then Vent does. That said Vent/TS does have one thing on in-game chat...currently, that is you can use it outside of the game... this however will be rectified once they eventually add it to the New Station Launcher Service now in Beta.

People seriously think they have something to do with one another?? Get a grip and grow up, it's voice chat... FREE voice chat, offered for FREE with no extra charge...

Just so we are clear... the voice chat is FREE, you do not pay for it, if it goes down... well, s*** happens, get over it... It will come back up when it gets fixed. If you are looking for a 100% uptime voice service, I would recommend a paid service so you would have something to actually complain about.

If I were standing at the front door to my office and was handing out 100$ bills to people on the way in... I'd bet you'd complain and ask for smaller bills.

I've never had problems with the in-game voice chat. If anything, the only problem is that my guildies are a little TOO loud, even after I modulate them

Ventrilo/Teamspeak is fine, too, but I only use them for raids, & since I almost never raid, I rarely have a use for them. When I'm just doing guild stuff or single groups, the in-game voice thingie works quite nicely.
