Well, i get my little Qeynosian out to do the dirty quests. he's about 35.

I'm told to go and kill fairies.

The 2 hostile fairies i found *did not count*. So the happy non-hostile 'good' fairies must be the ones we need for the quest. That just figures.

Thanks for yet another quest i won't get to finish because its just whackamole to some people - its moving, hit it. Don't worry about good, evil, right or wrong. Don't think about the fact that its not hurting anyone, just kill it - its xp. no one cares.

'Its just a game'. Yeah, right. Its supposed to be, or was, a roleplaying game.

Thanks for making my roleplaying fall flat again. No, i wont' be finishing the quest.

I tend to play a certain moral code in the game, a left over from Ultima-4. I don't go out of my way to kill neutral/non-aggro mobs. Certain lore and legends like naga and cenaturs bothered me. Cenataurs was kinda easy to justify. They didn't like gnolls, so I killed two gnolls for every horsie. Naga....well, I killed the minimum necessary. But, I do kill. I avoid wholesale slaughter and don't kill outside of questing.

When I got all done (so to speak) I found that most quest starters were on neutral mobs...sigh....and so I'd missed alot. My desire to quest was at odds with my desire to avoid killing innocents.

Part of my fun in the game is setting onto a path and dealing with what comes up upon me because of it. I don't feel it's SOE's job to make my choices easy, it's up to my creativity to decide how to address it.

You know you can always rebuild faction with the Seamist fairies in EL. I'm sorry if the quest hampers your roleplaying. Just move to a different quest.

It does not just affect goodies though. Spirits of the Lost has you trying to save Frogloks and becoming friends with a village of them. My Troll SK would rather eat them.

Some centaurs attack the settlement in the middle of TS - killing them should not be a problem for a goodie.

Similarly there are undead naga in Shimmering Citadel which do count for the L&L. Many goodies do not have a problem with the wholesale slaughter of undead.

Following this thread, I added a void beast in a bottle to my guid hall. But, the only intereactions (except sit) are negative. I don't, as a rule, act aggressive towards my pet...ok..ok, there was this one time one of 'em made me mad......Even captured void beasts need fed!!!!
