My illy is currently 71 making her way to 80.

I'm curious what T7 places would be soloable for an average legendary T8 illy:

unrest ? nizara ? Nek 3 ? OOB ? Valddon ? MMC ?

Are there badass mobs with CC immunities in those places ?

Yeah I'm in the same boat, I've been doing a lot of grouping but would like to explore more instances that I can solo.

I have tried to work my way through Chelsith but so far it's slow and tough.

Added question, when soloing do you keep your personae out? I keep mine out for the added root/stuns but I swear he gets me quite nervous when he throws dots on the mob. I'm not sure if he's making my job harder or not at times.

Thanks!

The pets dots will drop when you mez. You just have to make sure you back him off before you do.

~H

I was soloing OOB at lvl 80, but had a purpose... trying to get the ring with the unmitigated damage for trakanon fight. Other than that zone, I haven't tried any others in your list.

I've soloed SoF up to the epic. But then brought in 2 or 3 others to help with the epic - was working on the choker.

Well I've ran Nizara with a group yesterday and now I strongly doubt it is soloable, even at 80. Mobs have so many nasty abilities there, including lots of CCs ....

obelisk of blight (in lesser faydark) and shard of fear (in the feerott)

OOB = Obelisk of Blight, in Loping planes. SOF = Shard of Fear, in Feerot. Both are old T7 zones, but green at 80. OOB is typically farmed for lvl 70 masters, for transmuting purpose. SOF is typically farmed for Bloodthirsty Chocker (one of the best mage neck slot item for dps).

I tried to solo Unrest, but got stuck on the bartender. Sitting there staring at a mob stunned while he nukes the crap outta ya isn't much fun.

Was thinking about trying Nizara today. Never been in there, so it'll be interesting (of course I'll be leaving the epics alone hehe). I'll try and remember to post on success or failure.

Well, in Nizara, aside from the epics and one named I didn't get to due to time constraints (Aeri'ssth), this zone is soloable for a well geared toon ... but bring a repair bot or a couple repair kits LOL.

Most of the mobs are ok, but there's a few - the praetors and the guards for example - that are an absolute PITA. I was running with 4 pieces of dispersion gear and one displacement item, and these mobs were hitting for around 60% of my health, plus they throw in the odd stun just to make things interesting - and this was WHILE they were stifled.

for those that don't know, disperion = small chance to proc a complete absorption of 1 attack, and displacement = dispersion x2

Imagine having a group of 5 mobs - one or two them being praetors - killing 3 or 4 of the mobs in the group and then getting whacked for 60% health. When I revive and come back hehe... the group has respawned so rince and repeat.

So this is zone is not "easily" soloable, but it "is" soloable nonetheless.

How would you go about soloing SoF? The socials have been giving me a hard time.

Make sure you body pull. Pet pulling or simply just attacking the mobs will bring adds.

Nizara is not worth trying to solo. I tried it the other night and left in frustration. The trash mobs are not that bad (if your subjugation is good), but the first named was impossible to kill. It was able to cast while "mezzed" and hit pretty hard no matter where you faced.

Unrest is soloable up until the first named (Bartender). I actually brought in two people who needed the update so I didn't try soloing him. But the trash mobs were easy enough.

I'll try some of the EoF zones soon and report my findings.

It's the Signet of Light from Darkness.http://www.lootdb.com/eq2/item/199677404

I was bored last night so I went down to Shard of Fear to see what I could solo.

I was quite pleased to find that every non-epic mob in there was soloable on the first pull. The epic mobs weren't that hard either.. may try to 2-box them my next time in there. At one point, I had 4 encounters locked down at once, so definately an easy solo spot for us.

Not bad, considering I had never done that zone before.

Just solo cleared OOB last night in about an hour. Beat the boss so quick, PoM was still up at the end. All treasured chest drops except for the boss, which dropped legendary druid boots and nothing else. Was hoping something would drop that my alts could use (like the signet), but whatever.

To my knowledge zones that are soloable at 80 by illy

MMCata (cake walk)

OOB (cake walk)

PoF (up to epics)

KC (slow but doable)

Charsith (slow but doable)

Unrest is IMPOSSIBLE to solo on ANY class.... If nothing else than you require 2 people to pull the levers simultaniously.... However Unrest is Duoable easily enough.

Zones i am not sure about (havent tried or heard of any sucess).

Nizaria (fun zone though)

MMCastle (need to try this one again)

Any of the shard zones (Trash mob we can but i think most the nameds are CC immune)

Cant think of any other zones off top of head... I know the thread is about instances but included some non instances you can farm at 80 as well.

Play around with OOA in the Moors when you get to 2nd name jump and auto attack while pet attacks and hit bubble. The rest of the names are rootable it's not easy but it can be done with enuf gear. KC is fun as well alot of the names can be pwnd there . Oh and BTW I havent cleared ooa yet just somthing I'm working on when board. A ranger friend can do it though and im sure his auto attacks are better than ours but hell your saposta have a whole group
