With TSO what are goin to happen with re2 fabled fighter items with the + extra parry chance in cloak & wrist?

Same with Shield of the green dragon that got 3% block chance?

Regards,

Val

Unless I'm mistaken the regular "+parry" etc are not uncontested. Only the ones with "+%parry" are uncontested. (not the percentage vs direct add)

I havent really seen anything that difinitively says what is changing.

I don't really know, but from what I've heard about TSO the big new thing is going to be critical mitigation which helps you avoid critical attacks. Because of this new critical mitigation I think they can leave all of the avoidence as it is.

All I know is that my monk vs a level 80 no-arrow solo mob results in me killing it with about an average of 20% of my life lost.

In TSO, a level 80 no-arrow solo mob now requires me to use my own Heal at the end of the fight, because I'm down to 40%.

So does this crit mitigation only effect TSO mobs or is this an "across the board" change? I know after RoK being a mostly solo expansion, TSO is focusing on grouping. So the fact you had a harder time fighting this mob makes sense from the TSO perspective... but if they made this change across the board, this will effect the "solo-ability" of RoK mobs too, correct???

Oh.... and will there be a "+crit mit" stat on new armor or is it just based off current mitigation stat?

The Set gears do have Crit Mit afaik. Here the real issue:

Avoidance is already borked, has been since lu #24 or some such (too lazy to go look atm).

Now, we are a Tank, wearing the worst possible mitagation armor besides cloth. Avoidance isn't going to save us, they are even going to screw with uncontested avoidance numbers - then, just for good measure - Strikethrough will get a chance to kick your backside even is by some miracle your avoid would have saved your bacon.

Yep, nothing to see here, SNAFU.

As I understand the changes work like this: +block will be a (contested) improvment to your (contested) block chance while +%parry / +%reposite is still uncontested.

I think there's something wrong with me ripping through an equal level mob while losing less than a bubble of health, & doing it in seconds flat.

So, yea Cusa: if you had to heal yourself afterwards because you were down to 40%, that is indeed great news. It's nice to see that we might actually have to play our characters & use our abilities in order to get anywhere in TSO.

Well, just keep in mind that as far as soloing goes, despite our mitigation limitations, monks are still one of the most powerful soloing classes in the game. if one of the most powerful soloing classes has 20 to 40% health left over after fighting a non-arrow solo mob, then just think how bad it's going to be for the other classes who can barely solo them now.

Are you using only autoattacks? Vs a no arrow lvl 80 mob on my bruiser on live I lose 0% HP. Vs a no arrow solo mob in tso I may lose about 10% at the absolute most but usually around 0%-5%. How the heck are you getting hit so hard?

When I was still a monk in TSO I could solo a ^^ heroic and end the fight with more than 40%hp (I did use the heal during the fight though).

It would do the same with me or likely put me in the grave, I do admit to not having all the best equipment from all the raid zones ( Juggernaught boots and my Fabled Epic, not likely to see Mythic)

I'm in a small family guild so not likely to just drop out of it and join a mega-must be on at x-time guild.

Solo even con mobs are supposed to be equal to the average player (mostly treasured/handcrafted gear). A fully fabled/mastered player is well above this level, and should be able to slaughter an even con mob, and only be challenged by ^^ and ^^^ mobs at their own level. Granted, this doesn't really jibe with actual game experience, but overall it is supposed to be the standard the devs shoot for. Of course, Magic immune mobs of any con other than grey are going to be very tough for mages, as other mobs will be tougher for other classes and easy for a root-and-nuke stragedy (Bugs Bunny credit goes here. (Yes, I misspelled it on purpose, please don't attack my grammar, she's old and feeble).

Life goes on (well, after the rez anyway).
