View Full Version : Patcher downloading all expansion packs?

The patcher (tried both Station Launcher and the regular Launchpad) seems to be downloading all the KOS files, and I suspect it will download the ROK and TSO files as well. I only have EOF and DOF; why is the patcher downloading files I can't access in-game? It's not so much the time they'll take to download, but the space they take up on my HD.

I've looked all around the patcher preferences but can't find a way to turn off individual expansion downloads.

Powers &8^]

Greetings,

Have you been away from the game for a while? If so, then the other expansions might have been given to you as part of the living legacy promotion. That would be my guess without looking at the account. At most you will have all of the expansions up through Rise of Kunark.

Sadly, I don't know a way to disable certain expansions from downloading.

Hi, and thanks for the quick reply.

No, I've only been "away" for a little over a week. =) No bonus expansions for me.

I understand TSO files are being pushed early, as expansion files normally are, to avoid long download times on launch day. And I understand that TSO also includes all the previous expansion packs. But I don't plan to buy TSO, so I really don't want to have the files for all those expansions taking up space on my computer, not to mention the extra download time.

Is this something I could talk to Customer Service about? Or make the dev team aware of? It doesn't seem like desirable behavior, and I don't recall this happening when Kunark launched, which was also all-in-one.

Powers &8^]

Ah, sorry, I wasn't aware that it had started the preloading process already. Sadly, I don't think customer service is going to be able to help you with this directly.

Submitting a feedback may be the best way to contact the devs to tell them that you would prefer not to download those files. Hopefully they can implement an option to turn off certain expansion downloads. Currrently I only think you can do that with the adventure packs.

To submit a feedback you can simply type /feedback in game.
