I have reached the lofty age of 67 and have been plugging away at Kylong Plains quests since I was 64. Actually it wasn't that long ago, since levelling happens pretty fast when you are getting 7-8% xp per quest.

I have the AGI AAs to the end with 100% melee crits, the Cursing line to the end and points in INT to get the spell crits. I have been putting new points into the Defiler line that increases the damage on your DoTs (dont remember what it is called). My STR is around 380, STA 250, WIS 350, INT 450 and AGI 300. My gear is mostly mastercrafted (although I am behind on the jewelry) and my spells are adept III.

I use a 2H Bo Staff (STR/AGI), double ward myself, pull with venomous strike (iksar ability with 50 yard range), throw all my debuffs as he approaches and then alternate DoTs and wards until it is dead. While I have noticed that Kunark mobs hit very hard, this seems to work for anything yellow (and low orange is doable as well). I do not bother with the dog.

This seems to work pretty well so far, but do people have advice on how better to approach fighting Kunark mobs? Which quest items do defilers find particularly useful?

Does AGI help against yellow Kunark mobs? A lot of the chain that drops has +AGI (likely for scouts) -- does a high AGI prevent an appreciable number of attacks?

How important is level with respect to armor? A lot of the quest armor seems to have the same mitigation as my mastercrafted armor but usually worse stats. Is it worth "upgrading" to level 68 treasured armor?

Thanks for any advice/thoughts people might have on how best to proceed as a defiler in Kunark.
