Well, I tryed searching through the forum for my specific question so I apologize ahead of time if this has been repeated and just missed it.

In light of the TSO changes I am now planning to spec dual wield and alternatively Tower shield/1h (WOOT no more Buckler!!)

I have heard hear and there about choosing dual wield with a specific delay in mind. any help on this subject matter would be appreciated as I have never dual wielded.

What I know is that longer delay=higher crit = more DPS ..thats about it.

As a 58 Zerk I am just now getting my Tanking feet wet...with upcoming t7 semi major instances around the corner I want to get it right...now of course when actually full-on tanking i will be using a twrshld/1h on the most part but for OT or general questing/PvP I want to get a good combo of weapon for dual wield.

A bit long winded but specifically my question pertains to DELAY....and does it make a difference which weapon is in which hand, ie primary or off hand....

thank you for any advise...

I'd say the biggest and most important thing will be finding 2 weapons with matching delays. Its not absolute, but it helps a ton. its also okay if one is double the delay of the other (so like 2sec and 4 sec) This is important for timing your combat arts which you will find is necessary as you get higher and higher.

Second you are correct, Higher delay = higher dmg per hit = higher crit. But say you're dual wielding 2 6sec delay weaps. When you dual weild it increases the delay so that becomes like 8sec for both weaps. (just a guess, its a % increase) I'd say for DW you want matching first, followed by delay time. I'd go for 3sec or higher myself (depends on how much haste you usually have) if you dont normally have a lot of haste go for lower delay 2.5 - 4 sec delay stuff. If you always have a lot of haste go for 3-6 sec delay.
