Besides if you are a 5year vet, there is a good chance(though I know Spyder does not have one) that you have atleast 1 toon at the Adventure cap so that is an addtional 10% XP gain as well*(once the new LU goes live).

*You get 10% bonus XP for every toon at the Cap(both tradeskill and Adventure) upto 50%, and Capped TSers only effect the TS XP bonus and Capped Adventurers only effect Adventure XP bonus.

Well I'm glad that the vet rewards are back to "fluff" items, I just personally think that this vet reward is a VERY VERY weak fluff item. Heck I think getting something that gives you multiple illusions would have been better then this. I'm not at the 5 year mark, yet I already have 5 ts'ers max level and 2 adventure's that are max level. (Not bragging just commenting that alot of folks that have played this game for so long will have alot of characters close to max).

Although I can see some use for it espically at lowlevels when it's easy to clean out your vitiality, burn all of your vitality, click item do it again. That should be a good 6ish levels right there. Then you can either play the wait game or just continue on till you can use the item again.

I do personally think it should be both adventure and TS vitality. Not that either of them is hard just that it should do both.

I was at first pretty much against all this xp boosting and fast leveling. But, I've been playing since a month after launch and tbh, when I level and alt I have no desire to mess around in lower tiers doing solo quests. It used to be fun up until a couple years ago. You could get plenty of groups, even for out of the way quests. I've spent a lot of time grinding and hunting named in Obelisk, explored every inch of RoV, FG, SH, RE, CT etc... been in many RV grind groups on nightbloods and squirrels. Done various instances like freeport sewer instances... edgewater drains AQ groups... instances in CL, condemned catacombs quests.

Those days were fun but now they are gone. Now the name of the game is to solo to level cap, ocassionally running a "common" dungeon for a bit of AA if you are lucky enough to get a group, or be in a guild that is willing to run you through stuff. When I level alts now I just want to get passed all the boring solo grinding and get to where the real fun is, where I can get plenty of groups again, which is currently 60+. There just isn't enough grouping going on in lower tiers to make it fun to spend time in those tiers anymore.

Nothing wrong with this. If you've been playing for 5 years, then chances are you're already 80 and will be using it on an alt. And having levelled more than 1 character to level 80, there is nothing worse than when you run out of vitality... For tradeskilling, i actually just quit playing until I get it back.

Only time this might become a problem for the game is when the November 2009 expansion comes out and we're levelling from 80-90... Although adventure levelling seems to go slower, so I doubt the majority of players ever exceeded it in T8.

I wonder how many of these you'll get per account...

Actually this reward is a complete joke and totally useless.

I'm leveling up an SK to play for TSO and going hard and heavy leveling fast. I've yet to expire my adventure vitality with soloquests. So I don't see this reward amounting to much use at all.

I realize I could burn 100% vitality in an hour or less in a dungeon, but getting 4 levels there in an evening would kick my aa in the naughty bits, and I'm better off getting 4 levels and 6-8aa soloquesting in the same time spent.

If this actually doubled quest xp for 2 hours, now THAT would be something worthwile.

I really hope that orb is a joke. With all of the pots from the years of Vet rewards and now an orb to refill vitality.. this is kinda sad. I would have hoped for maybe more of the paintings for the house, the ones you can't get anymore IE the EQ1 paintings or EQ2 paintings from buying the game etc. Or perhaps something completely new that doesn't envolve an XP increase. How about a item that reduces your call ability by 50 or 75%? Or perhaps an item with a secondary bind location usable in any neutral/friendly areas? Or a charm with a clickey 100% health and power useable once every 24 hours aka a oh s*^t item.

This is the best idea they could come up with for a 5 year reward? Something that none of our main toons need? If you have been playing for 5 years, what good is this to you? How disappointing.

The 5 year rewards are complete junk. No usefullness or even fun factor with them. This makes what the 3rd firework we've gotten? Not to mention how many XP potions? And let's face it Pixie on a String is well, lame. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that Billy Illusion, titles, vet display case, treasure hoard all trump the 5 year rewards hands down.

This is the first time in my gaming history I can actually say that something is a "Slap in the face" and I really hate using that saying.

I think most would have been happier even having a chance to claim some of the old house item pictures from the 1 time redeem I.E. the EQ2 set of pictures and the EQ1 set. Not to mention added character slots would have been the best idea, anythig except increased XP, firework and Pixie on a String.
Personally, I am happy to see the new Vet rewards. SOE is finally giving the Casual Player something useful, instead of catering only to the Hardcore player base! I have been here since Day One. But, I am a VERY Casual Player. I spend WAY too much time chatting, plus I am my Guild's Leader, meaning I spend a lot of time mentored for my lower members, which means that while I did recently hit 80 on my Main, I still haven't reached the AA cap, and the few alts I have are all below 50. The XP pots lasting 2 hours, and the orb, combined with no level increase from this expansion, means that I actually have the chance to have 2 level 80s for once! I was literally bouncing in my chair and made my husband wake up to come see what we were getting. He, also being a casual player, was just as excited. (Plus he's a fireworks junkie so the new one really excited him) We also have a friend who will be returning to the game specifically because of the pixie. (of course, he's always been a bit "off")

With all that being said, I can definitely see that you guys who have several lvl 80 toons, and are a bit more sane than my friend, would see these rewards as not very good, especially since you won't even get a title you can use. (And that is actually my only complaint, as I'm a title junkie) So I guess you all have a choice; look at this as something they have created for the Casual Player, as a chance for everyone to have all their toons at level cap by the next expansion; or, look at it as a "slap in the face", and hope that the next Vet Reward will rock!

-KUKLeader, VirtueAntonia Bayle

Ok. We have forums so we can voice our opinions. You do not have to agree with me here so lets get that on the table. I have read all of the posts on this though and the tone seems to be that the majority of us "Vets" that have posted their opinion on this is that we are not satisfied.

Now I think these 5 year vet rewards were VERY rushed. Most of the time they let us know before hand what they will be. They did not do that this year. Some vets got to 5 years before the expansion, and they tell us oh we have to wait for the expansion ect ect. This all shows they were to rushed and gave no real thought to them.

I hear some people complain about the fact that we as vets have to pay the same for the new expansions, and that new players get all of the previous expansions free. That seems to be a unfair feeling we all have. The only thing that vets really gain that a new player does not is the ability to give us 90 days more on our account age toward those vet rewards. If I am correct? So really we are paying more but geting the chance at vet rewards not available to them right off. So one would think VET rewards would be a very nice thing to earn.

So here is my complaint to SONY. Basicly I do feel like I got a slap in the face. A pixie on a string? Silly, and not everyone is going to care for this little feature. more exp potions? I have enough. I don't need those or an adventure vit potion either. NO title? Seriously, the1, 2, 3 , and 4 year titles were a nice thing to show off to other players that you were a vet, and how old a vet you are. A new title would of been nice.

And yes LON has very nice stuff for in game. Great ideas from the LON department.

What could of sony done for us? These are just some ideas...ideas that could of been drawn up or what not. Perhaps actually asked the players what they would like to of seen. If THEY can ajust the rewards now which I know they could fix them, but fixing them would imply that they did in fact rush the job, they wouldn't want to do that because of "pride" but it would be nice for them to step up and say "sorry guys, we did rush, and we will not overlook the vets again, so sorry, we were working so much on the expansion we just didnt put much into it, and regret it, but we will make it right and ajust these rewards." Or perhaps give the vets a advanced vet reward in adition to these silly ones? Or maybe they can take some of these ideas and put them in the 6 year vet rewards? Who knows.

1. Perhaps given us a 3 month voucher for free playtime would of been nice since we have spent a god amount of money by now on all of these expansions.

2. A vet only mount. Thats right. ONLY the vets get it. And not anything thats already mountable. Something new, something awe inspiring. Perhaps offer 3-6 different types for a choice that best suits the player/character. That way we can have some diversity so not everyone is riding the same thing.

2a. A flying mount or atleast a hovering one. We do have the ability to hover so lets make a mount that does that. Perhaps if they introduce flying later, this mount can be ajusted to do that later in the future.

2b. An exotic overly large creature perhaps? Example: a t-rex

3. A zone only available to 5year+ vets? Perhaps the castle in qeynos, or the floating fortress in freeport. Allow 5 year vet access to the overload and queen for special reward quests only available to them.

4. A custom title? Allow the vet to set his own title. Customize it to his liking, within the naming policy rules.

5. A custom engraving? (True Heritage item) Change the name of any piece of equipment to the vet's liking. Example: I want to change the name of my epic weapon to Lord Hathir's Family Sword, and when examined it has a custom inscription at the bottom reading a sentence or two long customized only once by the vet.

6. Instead of free boosters and a starter deck, give the 5 year + vets a loot card of their choice? Havn't they earned it?

Anyways I can go on all day with ideas. These are a few and only took me 10min of thinking to come up with them. All we are asking is fix the vet rewards and if you can't because of your "pride" and PR, then atleast promise us something better in the future, because SONY you let us all down.
