Some trick to getting Monk Masters?

<p>Is there a trick to getting Monk Master Combat Art upgrades?  Someone in-game told me that if you were solo and killed a named mob, and it dropped an ornate or exquisite chest, then the items inside would be usable for your class.  That doesn't seem to be true.</p><p>I play on Venekor, and keeping combat arts upgraded is vital to survival.  I've harvested and harvested and harvested trying to get the rares for alchemists to at least make me AD3s but am having very little luck (13 hours of harvesting = 1 rare loam <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />).</p><p>Is there someplace or some mob (T4/T5) that I can camp to try and get masters?  Or is it just totally random?</p>

<p>Maybe your friend was talking about level 20 and below?  In that area anything a mob drops can be used by someone in your group.  After that however it starts being random and you have to hope luck is on your side.</p>

<p>I dont find soloing for masters of much use personally.  Even if you get a chest to drop, the chances of it having a usable spell are very low. If you where in T8 it might be worthwhile (but still very rare), but anything lower not so much.</p>

<p>Monk Masters seem to be getting much more available on the broker at the moment, anyone else noticing this on their server? </p>

<p>As a monk in the 40s you can farm Runnyeye, and in the high 40s the Runneye instances.  In the 50s you can farm Sol Eye.  Both zones have a ton of nameds each with potential to drop master chests.  Though the probability of looting a monk master is quite low, a good master on the broker can easily translate to a monk master. </p>
