Prophetic Protection AA gives a bonus to our deathwards spell (1 min reuse on that one) which gives a 5 sec duration damage reduction. With 5 points into it it's 10% reduction which is good, but sorry 5 second duration is too short still for a spell that is only up once every minute. Please change it to something more usefull it'll be balanced to have 10 seconds duration on this buff, maybe even 15 but 5 seconds is just a joke. Deathward is already pretty underpowered spell especially considering that templars have Repent which not onbly have 30 s recast instead of 1 minute on deathward but also usssually wards for twice as much as our spell casted on almost dead player and also has a reactive component. So this aa cpuld be a good way to at least balance things out but this spell is still a joke if it remains unchanged. Please make it 10 s duration or improve deathward spell itself to have shorter recast or ward x2 more. Thanks.

Ok i see ppl don't really care so that's what happens if you not vocal and not complaining- yoy get nothing and get ignored. So gl complaining about this situation when it comes live - nothing will help. Just look at wizards - their aa in TSO were crap they were whining and complaining alot and been very vocal- and now their aa less of a crap and pretty good actually, and now look at our class and figure out what's wrong and what'as gonna happen.

Agreed. I won't be spending points on it as is unless it's upgraded to something even moderately useful.

And don't get me started on what I think of the overall ward amount on it. If it's that small it might as well be instant cast.

I totally agree the duration as well as the ward amount is pretty useless. If they're not going to fix this to make it something worth dumping points into, the least that could be done is half the recast and make it self castable.

If defilers would come here half as much as they are on EQ2 Flames we may be able to get some changes for the good.

I agree with the OP. The damage reduction is nice but the duration is too short. Deathward should have been tuned up when RoK was released. I know i've bugged/feedbacked it a lot. Now we are given an achievement that can solve some issues but it falls short again.

Seeing as Deathward isn't going to be revised, please make the achievement worth having. Increase the duration so the damage reduction be noticiable.

I love my Defiler. I have had endless hours of enjoyment and escape in Norrath. Since the release of RoK, everything has changed. Since the release of TSO, even the worldwide Defiler channel has become a cemetary. Consistently being replaced in MT group by Mystics, well... Defilers were designed for MT group. Even on a good day, we are not DPS. We do offer the OT the same benefits we do an MT provided the group is set up that way. However, how often is that occurring? I carry 3 36 slot boxes with me of gear changes... We can no longer change gear during combat, so it's macro time and hope they work.

Defilers were perfect and cudos to the DEVS. We didn't have anything to complain about. That didn't mean forget about us. Our Dev is a solo player. Hardly raids. Defilers weren't designed for SOLO. To change our total being after 4 years is just plain WRONG. I feel the Devs nor SOE give a rat's you know what about how the alumni Defilers are feeling.

One problem I see is that the Defilers that do have leverage with SOE and the Devs are all in Guilds where their MT slot is solidified in gold. They are few and the exception however. I haven't even logged my Defiler on in 3 days. I will admit, I am in Norrath because of a tragedy on earth so Norrath means more to me than just a game. However, alot of people who play Defilers have spent alot of time, energy and money into Norrath. It is extremely depressing to just watch our class fade away. Sure we are great in groups... but Defilers were made to raid. Raiding Defilers need to start becoming extremely vocal or PST me a new game to play.

In RoK we had to bid against casters and druids for gear. That was just plain wrong. It is better now, but better doesn't mean squat when it comes to raiding. We need a raiding Dev. We need someone on SOE's payroll that has an interest in the Defiler class. But, SOE obviously is making enough money that losing a few Defilers isn't going to bother them at all.

About people posting on Flames. Flames gets thru to the Devs. I don't care what they say their new position is and on Flames, you get to use the explicatives that truely express how you feel. You just have to ignore all the BS. There is some very good info on Flames. I believe alot stopped posting here because their posts were pulled. Some have stopped maybe for the same reasons I haven't logged on my Defiler in 3 days. What's the point?

Anyway enough negetivity. Thank you for stating the point so eloquently. Maybe people like you can get things done.

Sorry about the sig... I changed it and messed something up in the code and haven't even felt like fixing it.
