We get 60 new points. The new tree has 4 lines, the first is shared by all classes, the seconds by the archetype, the third by subclass, the 4th is unique for each class. You unlock the next line by spending 10 points in the current, line 2 and 3 offer new spells for 1 point if you spent 10 points in the line, line 4 offers 2 spells for 2 points each. You can spend up to 5 points on an enhancement. Most enhancements focus on single spells, but unlike the EoF tree ones they usually really improve it.

The lines:

General: Not worth mentioning

Fighter1: Improves def stance skill bonus by up to 20 %

Fighter2: Improves base and crit damage of the low damage melee attack by up to 10 / 15 %

Fighter3: Reduces reuse spee of Rescue by up to 50 %

Fighter4: Improves off stance skill bonus by up to 20 %

Fighter5: Increases riposte damage by up to 25 %

Fighter6: Reduces all physical damage received by up to 250

Sneering Assault: single target, 2500-4000 taunt, 1000-1500 dmg, 3 hate positions, 3 min recast

Warrior1: Adds up to 5 hate positions to Rescue

Warrior2: Adds up to 100 CA/spell dmg to Rouse

Warrior3: Increases dmg of Body Check by up to 20 % and hit chance up to 10

Warrior4: Applies up to 500-600 hate on target after block

Warrior5: Up to 10 % chance to ressist stun

Warrior6: Increases mitigation gain of def stance by up to 5 %

Cry of the Warrior: Forces mob to target you (8 sec), increases threat by 2 positions, 5 min recast

Beserker1: Increases hate of Insolence by up to 15 % and reduces recast by up to 30 seconds

Beserker2: Adds up to 5 % increased reuse speed on Relentless Rage

Beserker3: Junggernaut Increases melee crit bonus by up to 5 %

Beserker4: Increases damage of Freznzied Hits by up to 10 % and crit damage by 15 %

Beserker5: Adds a 1.5k to 2.5k taunt to any melee attack while using Adrenaline

Beserker6: Improves defense, parry and shield effectivness of Hold Rage by up to 10 points

Wall of Force: Will absorb up to 2 attacks that hit for more than 30 % of your hp, 10 sec duration, 3 min recast

Jeering Onslaught: Inflicts 700-1100 damge and increases threat position by 3 in area of effect, 5m range, 1 min reuse, max 10 targets

It should be noted: *Rescue is now a 5 minute recast timer instead of 10, and *The reuse speed on Rescue is affected by diminishing returns: Rank 1 reduces base recast by 27.2 seconds Rank 2 reduces base recast by 50 seconds (22.8 more seconds) Rank 3 reduces base recast by 69.2 seconds (19.2 more seconds) Rank 4 reduces base recast by 85.7 seconds (16.5 more seconds) Rank 5 reduces base recast by 100 seconds. (14.3 more seconds) Throw in the INT-tree end ability, and the recast at 5 ranks is 185 seconds.

So, for those who have had the chance to try these out - what are your favourites. I think I can see how I might assign them, but it's not the same as getting to trial them

This is my current spec. The points in General increase HP by 2.5 % and run speed by 5 %. I'll propably shift the points from Hold Rage to the 10 % chance to ressist a stun, but this is very likely what I'm going to spec in two weeks.

Run speed is useless if you have a mount and the tradeskill earring. I'd rather spend the 5 points in power.

As a primarily instance tank (and not a raid tank) here's what I'm probably going to go.

I won't be going down the cyclones tree, now that the perseverance tree has some nice bonuses.

With as many snap aggro tools as we're getting, I can't really see the need for extra hate positions with Rescue.

STR 4483 STA 44882 INT 44682

I'm liking how there's some flexibility with the Shadows Warrior/Zerker trees.

Yup, finally no more everyone skilling exactly the same but everyone can skill a little bit different as they think it fits them best.

Some important updates regarding these trees.

Fighter 5 (Riposte Mastery) now increases Riposte damage by 5% per rank, no longer chance to riposte.

Warrior 4 (Aggresive Nature) is now changed. It is no longer a 20% chance to taunt on a block. It is now 100% chance to taunt on a block. Reads as follows:On a successful block this spell will cast Aggressive Nature on target's victim.* Increases Threat to target by 492-602.

Thanks, updated the list. I wonder if a 500-600 taunt after block is worth the points. I had no luck with the Trakanon shield and I have no idea how often you usually block with a tower shield. If you just block once every 10 seconds the proc is worth more hate than almost any single CA.

Just a correction, that's 500-600 taunt with 3 points into STR4. 0 points into STR4 it's 452-552. 8 points into STR4 it's 560-685 (in addition to the 8% hate mod it gives).

I'll be using the Righteous Barrier of Devotion from Shard of Hate, and it gives about 21% block chance without shield effectiveness mods. That's roughly a 21% chance every time the mob swings at me to generate Hate, and if the mobs like to double attack (like they do in Veksar and Runnyeye 2) that's even more chances to generate hate as long as they're swinging at me.

I'm changing my Warrior tree to STR 4488 STA 4485 INT 44682, the extra all round hate will do me more good than slightly higher block chance (especially since there's probably a lot of shield effectiveness to go around this xpac). Zerker and Shadow tree are staying how I have them in the above screenshots.

got a question on the Fighter1 (increase to O-stance stats). does this only effect the +s/c/p we get from it, or does it also effect the damage on the AE proc. (IE same effect as on harbinger)

Only the +s/c/p. The damage is unaffected.

xalmat, are you still following this AA set up, primarily the EOF and TSO lines? Once update 51 hits do you think you will change this set up?

No, my GU51 build is different.

Kos: STR 4488 STA 4485 INT 44682. In my eyes, max STR3, max STR4, max STA3, and the INT endline are irreplacable. That doesn't leave many more options, so I dump the rest into STA4.

Eof: It's going to stay largely the same, but I'm trying to figure out which points I can move into the Bloodshower enhancement (for the extra taunt and damage). I'm ditching Gut Roar.

TSO: Ditching enhance rescue in favor of enhance defense stance, but the rest of the tree is probably staying as-is. Why defense stance? Since the rest of the Fighter line is garbage, there isn't much of a reason to go anywhere else. Plus, it adds +5 to Aggression in Defensive, which will help aggro-wise.
