I have a vision of a set of 4 Adventure packs, one for each archtype. These adventure packs are a condiut for new and exciting developments in the subclasses. Essentially a "once over" of each class for balance and useablilty.

Each aventure pack would make available an AA tree similar to TSO. However, the main goal of the adventure pack is is to paise some capital to do a side development of balance packs. All balance and tweaks would be made available to every1 so....

I could see some content like a mage, theives', healers', and fighters' guild, but i don't know. This would be secondary.

I'm unsure whether it's be wise to focus on an archetype, rather than provide content each time for all. But I do feel taking time out from the November/November expansion schedule could be a good idea. It'd mean the expansion doesn't go up against other releases in the MMO genre, and maybe, just maybe, give SoE's marketing department (a cat called Tinkles) a chance to get EQ2 picked up by stores.

That said though, adventure packs, I know I don't tend to revisit the content of past adventure packs. I dare say they could have benefitted from being more accessible - more solo-friendly for those times the normal group isn't available - and scales to ones level so they could be visited whenever it feels right. Could be a means to gain some appearance items too, as they do tend to be rich in charactful imagery that can be rewarded with items of that imagery.

So far, adventure packs come across as several dropped balls to me.

This past weekend a couple of us did the start of the Bloodline and Splitpaw quest.

The Bloodlines was fun but the Splitpaw stunk. We done three quest in Splitpaw, one was the Crawlers, we got to the end and got wiped, and had to start all over. The broken teleporter quest (where we all get separated), started to be fun, but one of the guys didn’t know where to put the exploding barrel and used it. Well right after everyone dies in their area, then gets teleported to the area where the guys used the barrel. Needless to say everyone had to call out back to their home cities. The barrel had been used and we couldn’t break the wall needed to advance further and we couldn’t zone out. There was another quest (Exploding crates for fun), but it was just too easy.

They need to re-look at these zones because Splitpaw in the past was fun. I will do Harclave this week.

But a new adventure pack for archetypes would be nice. But I would rather have something closer to the main cities. Like a new sewer line just found. But i wouldnt complain about anything..........
