Dream Scorcher Stoneskin proc question

<p>If you look up the item on LootDB it shows this:</p><p><a href="http://www.lootdb.com/eq2/item/286869160" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.lootdb.com/eq2/item/286869160</a></p><p>In the description it says "This spell will absorb a total of 1 attack"</p><p>In game last night mine didn't match the description on LootDB, it was missing the line about absorbing 1 attack, yet I saw the stoneskin still going off.</p><p>So was the text accidently removed from the description? Or will this be nerfed soon?</p>

<p>Previously both versions of our epic would absorb X% of 1 attack before fading (not really "stoneskin", since it does not absorb the full effect).  This sucked because you would lose the bonuses of the proc (for heals, etc.) upon getting hit by an AE but only lowering the damage of that AE by a small amount.  It was changed so that the effect procs and stays up it's full duration instead of fading. </p><p>It's a good change.</p>

<p>Hmm... then I somehow triggered a proc off something that absorbed at one point over 11k in 1 hit.</p><p>It said "Your stoneskin absorbed 11345 damage!"... I wonder what buff/effect could have been on me... the Angelic trio from that hate item for the secondary slot doesn't proc anything like that do they? I mean, I knew they buffed and healed and blocked some AOE's, but I don't recall having seen the stoneskin verbage until I got Dreamscorcher.</p><p>On a side note, I'm 1 kill from my Mythical on the Dreamscorcher and Cudgel of Obviation quests... since I betrayed before finishing my Mystic mythical, I was curious... can I still finish that quest even though I can't wield the weapon? (At least for the AA.)</p>

<p>Brace of Corporeal Darklight has a stoneskin proc on the person if they are a priest.  The epic didn't really have a stoneskin proc but a limited one shot mitigation to spell attacks.  They changed that so that it will keep absorbing until the duration runs out.</p><p>As for the mythical question, some classes can betray and finish both epics if they didn't finish the first one before betraying, but not all classes can.  I honestly don't know how to determine that, though.</p>

<p>Weird.  Did you have a dirge in your group?  The only three classes I can think of that get a stoneskin effect which would spread to their groups would be dirges, guardians, and conjurors (though very few spend the AA's for that particular ability).  I've never had the fabled or mythical defiler weapon proc a stoneskin effect on myself or the group (though my shield does proc and block an attack every now and again).</p>
