Pestilence? Any good?

<p>Is Pestilence worth an ADEPT III spell? As I read the spell the caster takes damage when he used it. Is it a useful spell for a soloer?</p>

<p>If you are soloing 3+ mobs at once then yes it is helpful.   Otherwise no. It's really good in a fast pulling group.  I've had it keep bouncing around mobs for over 60 seconds, many times.    That damage adds up fast.</p><p>You do not take damage for casting it.    You cast it on the mob, it does X damage for 16 seconds.  If you kill the mob with in those 16 seconds it will transfer to two more near by mobs, starting a 16 second dot on them.  Kill one of them with in 16 seconds and it will transfer to 2 more mobs.  Over and over and over as long as you can kill them before the dot wears off.</p><p>Just be warned that it will infect ANY attackable NPC in range, enganged or not.  So if you are fighting and a guard walks through the battle when you kill a mob, he may get infected and start beating on you.</p><p>As for getting it as an AD3?   I would put it towards the bottom of the list.  There are many other spells I would get AD3 in first.</p>

<p>    yeah great spell for soloing multiple mobs back in KOS you could pull 20 mobs on you and pestilence would pretty much last the entire fight .</p><p>   TSO is suppose to have alot more Multiple mob , so a Spell that immediatly hits the next 2 mobs in an encounter without having to cast anything is always a Plus : P ) , it might not help much against a Warlock lol, but helps with single target Dps becuase you have been doing ae/dots damage and your doing instant damage to the next mobs.</p><p> it also costs no additional power after the initial cast, so thats free damage to all but the first mob you cast it on.</p><p>  single mobs it isnt worth casting, but what sk pulls single mobs ? even in rok after you gear up a bit you can pull 3 heriocs , and with 2 healers you can grab 4 or 5 : )</p><p>but yeah id upgrade others befor it in ROk, but if your around lvl 60 and soloing i would pick it up</p>
