No replies yet ...

Ok well I'm very new to EQ2 but I play a fury on Nagafen and he's excellent. I can solo happily against even con mobs as I've got fairly decent DPS and have been even more successful in a group as main healer.

I've only had a few PvP run ins so far but have stood up well - A brig several levels above me got the drop on me last night but couldn't take me down quick enough and ended up running for the hills and stealthing. He came back for another pop soon after and couldn't out DPS my heals and didn't like it when I started hitting him back

Yes you can still cast spells etc when in animal form, I've been using wolf form on occasion which looks cool

Furies are very good (some will say easymode) up to tier 8, where things get (a little) more complicated against melee damage (until they get the fear procs that is). Druids dominate the lower tiers in general as for many classes it is hard to spike dps their heals over time until you get very good gear and the proper abilities to deal with them. Furies are very versatile: they can heal of course (quite well if specced for it), but they can also nuke (very hard if specced for it). They also have a nice snare to stop runners, and Pact of the Cheetah to escape gank groups/catch runners. So as you can see they are a well rounded class for pvp, very soloable and welcome in gank groups for POTC.

So you can spec for nukes or healing, what about physical damage and using shapshift to get some hits in while casting spells?

Can you spec in any physical damage or do you have to apply stats and better weopons only to achieve that?

Your autoattacks will always be low unless you sacrifice some of your stats to get str. and that is still gonna be poor dps.

the warden can spec for melee attacks and do a fairly good job at it too. They heal better than furies, but get smaller nukes. other than that the two are very similar.

I like the melee tree with the Warden because i don't want to depend on just spells. I want to be able to gear up and do some physical damage with my spells. I saw that the druid spells are stronger and the heals are direct and not over time. Thats about the main difference. Plus i saw some druid spec abilities to avoid area effect damage when its not directed on you. Yeah after going to the Ranger, Illusionist, Fury, i think the Warden will be my main. Thanks for the help, i still don't know the classes that well so i need the advice....i am starting to learn a little bit
