I'm still narrowing down an alt, if you guys were going to solo primarily, duo for HQs and try dungeon soloing, would you suggest a Mystic, Inq, Bruiser, zerker or a SK? (I already have a 79 SK, but taking a break from the 79 grind)

I started a Brig, but I'm just not feeling it with him. If I get a second critter on me, which happens alot, I'm toast. Stuns are neat when they land, but right now, I miss alot on white conned mobs.

I like my Inq, but being Level 23 with 25 AA's in, I'm not seeing the good damage stuffs. I love plate and the tricks they have, but it's a long road till I see what they can really do.

Bruiser, well, they're nice, but just ain't me in the looks department. Add to that the HQ quests I'll be doing won't generally benefit him. I like to stab stuff with pokey things and have weapons that slash.

Zerker sounds neat, but with the Brig, I'm afraid of lack of healing. I had one that was 60, but deleted him in disgust (this was waaay back in the day though before alot of classes got lovin'.

SK, well, honestly they're my only true EQ love. I would love playing one again, but sometimes if I play a class that I played before I go braindead.

My wifey is maxed on all tradeskills (she rules) and she'll duo with me for the Heroic HQ endings, but I want an honestly strong class that I can pour my time into. Suggestions?

This is the last Alt-itis post I'll do, so you guys are helping me out greatly. Thanks!

Bruiser is my main, and the FD is a lifesaver for sure. I used to think he had great DPS, until I started leveling up my Brigand, hehe. I'll reply to this thread over in the Brigand section, too, but basically I don't think you're going to notice a tremendous difference in damage output from your SK to a Bruiser - or at least not like you will with the Brigand.

When I was playing my bruiser and was ever be blessed enough to get into raids it was by luck if I was ever placed into a dps group. In the dps group my bruiser did well, but if another swashy, brig, or assassin were to be in my spot the dps for them would be much much higher so in turn that would be more beneficial to the raid.

My take with the bruiser class is that they are a fun class till raiding becomes a desire. Soloing seems to be my bruisers best ability atm but even that cannot compair to the mages and summoners. Since most players do not envision bruisers as tanks, dps, and definately not utility then bruisers take a back seat to most other scouts and casters for that matter.

I would say stay with the sk or roll another class that has more appeal to other players.

Bruiser can tank instance fine, even RE2, I do it all the time.

I have even raid tanked a bit (sisters in hate, easy stuff)

And we can do good dps, when geared right.

The problem is that other more specialized classes do it better and raids are all about specialization.

Monks were given their awesome raid wide buff to overcome this, our raidwide buff is a complete joke compared to theirs and its why we sit raids and they go on them.
