Anyone here play a higher level SK or brigand in addition to their Bruisers? I want to do a more DPS heavy class than my SK, but I'm worried about healing when playing a bruiser / brigand. I hear that Brigands really take apart the mobs, and there are healing poisons, but can they keep you alive while you solo? Bruisers do fine until RoK, where the unmitigated avoidance makes Bruisers go >.<

Right now with my SK, I can take one level above me and one ^ (meaning I'm 79 now and I can take an 80^), can the bruiser / brigs do the same or close? Or should I roll a bruiser and try to offset the unmitigated avoidance factor? I'm looking to all the HQs and perhaps go dungeon delving exclusively. Fighting easily picked off outside mobs is getting /yawn and 79 is looking to be another hell-level.

Any help would be grealy appreciated.

Tog

Stick with your SK, no melee class solos anything worth soloing at 80 anyway.

Unless you have VP gear.

I would say that a lvl 55+ brigand should be the best one on one melee solo class there is. A brigands ability to defensively debuff mobs and stun lock is what makes them so special. Rok zones would be a brigands dream world since so many fights are one on one as long as proximity add(s) are avoided. Excellent burst damage too and are wonderful group mates that allows the whole group to down mobs much much quicker.

I am not in rok with my sk yet but sk's to me are the greatest plate fighter solo toons. Their ability to almost consistantly leach life makes them strong soloers.

My bruiser soloed rok well, but so did my zerker. One on one my zerker could down the mobs just as effectively as my bruiser (not including the bruiser's devistation fist or knock out combo) which I find sad really. The dps between my zerker and bruiser is realitively close to being the same, yet the zerker just seems to take less damage when actually hit. I find it interesting that most players find zerkers as both nice dps and decent tanks, yet they find a bruiser as ok dps and not a tank. When I do tank on my bruiser I do well, but once I got my zerker to lvl 80 my friends insist that I bring my zerker instead of my bruiser. I have enjoyed playing both, but bruiser now has a new job and that is shiny collections and harvesting.

If you are seeking raids later some points to remember are not many raids desire more than two tanks. Brigands, swashbucklers, assassins, and rangers are usually welcome for their massive dps. Also dirges, troubadors, illusionist, and coercers are very much in demand for any group or raid. So that is just some pointers to think on

Since your sk is lvl 79 I would recommend just finishing out to lvl 80, do some quests and save your aa points and await the next expansion.
