Right now he's about ready to ding to 79, the grind is proving to be a bit much. It's time to noob up another melee DPS class for occasional group and soloing!

I want to create another toon and do nothing but HQ's and make a more "complete" character (crafting, imporant quests, HQs). What I'll end up making is a plate wearing melee class that can do self heals. Is there anyone here that's done a high level inquisitor in battle cleric mode and a high level SK? Which does better DPS? Which is more self sufficient? I love soothe and I can tinker a FD item, but could use some advice from someone who's done them both, and testimony on which they'd like better.

I would appreciate any help. I did search the forums, but didn't find definitive answers.

Indecision clouds my vision...

Tog.

Vetal - 78 (almost 79) DE SK of Nektulos

Dethek - 23 DE Inq of Nektulos

They actually play very similarly, but the inqy has a few more tricks up their sleeve than the sk. The sk seems to have a higher survivability though. The inqy is mainly single target whereas the sk thrives in multi mob fights. They both do more dps than the other in specific situations. I play bth and love both for those small things about them.Just play both to t6 and then you'll know what they both feel like, pretty much.

"Is there anyone here that's done a high level inquisitor in battle cleric mode and a high level SK? Which does better DPS? Which is more self sufficient?"

I have both, solo, group, and raid with both as well. Inquis is battle specc'd as well, SK is more tank specc'd. My SK out DPS' my Inquis by a good margin unless its an extremly short fight (and I don't use HT of course). Against anything moderately tough and especially against multiple mobs, he is well ahead. Its al lot easier to get anything done with my SK. The inquis is no slouche, but the SK is more self sufficient imo as well. Easier to get around, easier to complete quests quickly, less down time, less trouble on more mobs.

They are both a blast though. I play em both a lot.

i also have 80 sk and a 79 inquis(slackin i know)

love both classes and if you like playing an Sk i think you will enjoy the inquisitor just as much(ok well maybe not cause Sk >all else) but they are defenitly second to an Sk : )

i soled my inquis from 76 to 79 mostly, the inquis seems to get interupted more then the sk(especialy when you need to healyourself lol ) and inquis takes more damage when hit becuase has very low aviodance but as long as you keep your reactive refreshed thats usualy not much of an issue unless you like fighting hard mobs ,i like fighting higher level hard mobs lol so maybe thats just my problem : )

Thanks for the help all. I dinged 79 tonight and I'm sitting at 118 AA's...perhaps I'll just keep my SK going. I love lifetaps and all the things SKs can do. Far and away my favorite class in any MMO.

I may do the inq whne I can grind no longer. Thanks all, and safe travels.
