Figured this is the best place for this since it could be a promotional thing with a new expansion or possibly a once in a while special occasion thing. Basically offering up a Lifetime Subscription for a set amount(like a years long subscription). Maybe even have some kind of extra charge for the extra character slots. This would not include the All Access, just for EQ2. Something like 200 dollars(just throwing a number out there) with an extra 100 dollars or something for the extra slots. I think this would keep/bring people to buying accounts just to have for future events that are to come.

This is really just kind of a wish list for me, so thought I would throw it out and see what people think.

Would be a dream, but don't see SoE selling short on this one. Those subscriptions translate to their net worth. But at the very least, I'd like to see multi-month discounts on station pass. Why can we get multi-month discounts for just eq2, but not on station pass?If you've not done the math, you can buy 2 accounts with a year sub each for less than the cost of one year of station access. In the end you get 14 slots instead of 12 for less money.

Atan you are assuming that the bean counters of soe operate with any common sense in their skulls. They don't.

I agree that station pass should have more of a reason for existance or at least a multi month pass.

I don't see anything wrong with the idea of a lifetime subscription although I personally would never buy one. The freedom to jump ship and go play the new best game is just too valuable.

Thats why I'll never Lifetime a game again.

I would buy a lifetime subscription for $200-$300 bucks. I pay month to month so it costs me roughly $180 per year.

Lifetime subscriptions don’t make financial for SoE at this point in the game. When a game launches you offer them because more than 50% of the people who buy them end up quitting the game before the first year is up, or rarely logging it. So you end up making more money than if they had paid month by month. If you offer a lifetime subscription package 3 years in to the game, the only people who are going to buy it are those who really like you game, and will most likely be here playing it 3 years down the line. You end up with 90 to 95% of them still playing your game, costing you more bandwidth, and power until they are actually losing money because your playing

I have Lifetime memberships in LOTRO and love it.. No monthly fee to worry about (in case the acct goes low etc) and eventually it pays for itself.

I wish I could get multi-month discounts for station pass since I am not yet willing to abandon my SWG characters. However, if I ever do completely give up SWG I'll probably switch to a 6 or 12 month eq2 subscription.

Any time I see a new game offering lifetime subscriptions it sends up a red flag for me. Basically, the developer is admitting that they have little hope of retention and want to grab as much money as fast as they can. Personally I would never opt for lifetime subscription for any game. Very often these games change so much over their lifespan, there is a good chance that the game you signed on for a lifetime may morph into something you do not even care to play anymore.

I would love to see a family plan. Like if you have four accounts then the price would fall to $10.00 each a month. Or pay $400 per year for all four.

More plans would give more choices, might bring in good revenue.
