A friend gave me his laptop to fix... its a Toshiba Satellite P105 S6084....He was having troubles with it and it turned out to be a bad ram piece.I ordered 2 gig of ram from Crucial to put in it and it got here today.... they sent me a 1x 2gig ram slot instead of 2x 1 gig ram... I checked the site and the 2gig SHOULD work just fine.. doesnt need to be a pair to function normally(though the pairs work better but still). So I check the BIOS and it shows 2gigs... i check the "System" properties and it says 2 gigs.....So i load EQ2(i got my friend to try the game.. so its never been ran on this laptop before...) and as I load into the game its EXTREMELY choppy... its almost like .5 to 1 second lag between the time the screen refreshes... stuff just bounces around the screen and thiers a 2 second delay between when I click/double click on something.. to the time it responds(ex... i dbl click a item to equip... 3 seconds later it asks me if I want to attune it).So i check the performance settings.. i set them to the Extreme Performance.... i make sure I try everything and its STILL SUPER choppy....so i check the Task Manager and show that its only loading about 500k memory for EQ2... now I know my laptop has between 900k and 1000k loaded for eq2 at any given time.... thiers not a lot of other proccesses running and they definately dont add up to the 1.5gigs of ram im not using....It SURE seems like a lack of memory problem.. however his computer only has a generic graphics accelerator(and mine has a nVidia in it) but his laptop isnt more than a year or 2 old so even with the graphics accelerator it should be able to run EQ2(i think)... it ran WOW flawlessly with 1 gig of ram... i now have 2 and it cant run EQ2 well at all right now.Any clue why when I log into Darklight Wood that the laptop will not load more than 500k into memory for EQ2???FYI I ordered the ram from Crucial, the computer can accept the single ram slot, it is the right type of ram, the computer can hold upto 4 gigs of memory.... im sure im missing something but let me know if their is something I can try... thanks

Its almost surely the integrated graphics card that's causing this problem for you. That said, lets keep the issue to one thread. I'm closing this one but please feel free to continue the discussion in the other thready you started.over here:http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=433357
